Compared to my other 5x5s this thing is spectacular. It's slightly smaller than my older ones, and the magnets just really make it so impressive. I'm not really advanced enough to do slice moves efficiently on larger cubes, but when I try them on this one, it's not that hard. Right out of the box it turned like a dream without any lubrication, and you also get the adjustment screwdriver and a stand. I'm not sure if this is considered a "budget" cube, but the price is very affordable, and I'm still in awe at the fast advancement of cube technology. My other 5x5s aren't really that old but the difference is astonishing. My largest cube is an old 7x7 that is a nightmare to turn. My arthritic hands actually are sore when I'm done solving it, but now I see Moyu has a 7x7 for just a bit more than this, if that's anywhere near as good as this I'd love to get my hands on that and even larger cubes as well. I am so torn on this cube.So, to give a bit of credentials, I'm an amateur cuber. My average speed is 1m17s. My 13-year-old just broke a minute getting his best time of 58s. We own many cubes of various shapes, sizes, and price points. It is my favorite hobby. So, anytime I can snag cube or puzzle type things, I do.Immediately out of the box, I thought I didn't like this cube. It felt light and cheap to me. I dropped it while trying to get it out of the box and a couple of the edge seals started to pop immediately. I was able to easily push them back together, but my red flags were going up. I gave the cube a few spins and realized there was a hard slide, but of course this could be easily remedied with cube lube as most cubers do. The branded sticker was off center and is literally a little sticker, not embossed or anything, easily peeled off if you like. So that too made me think this was cheap and/or a knockoff. But I am no expert so I will assess what I do know about this cube.It's easy to turn and will get better with lubricant. The magnetic snap is nice, not as good as my gan but that's expected since this cube is over twenty dollars less than that cube. The more I played with this cube the more I liked it. On my first timed run, I managed to match my average. It is adjustable and comes with an adjustment screwdriver. It is stickerless and has a nice matte finish to good coloring. Also included in the box is a display triangle and a moves pamphlet (completely in Mandarin).So, the long and the short of it: This may or may not be authentic. But it does the trick, has nice magnetic snap, and will be more than adequate with some maintenance and adjustments. Wish the instructions were also in English which would make this more giftable. But overall, at $9.88 (at time of review), this is a very solid starter speed magnetic cube.

Has a bit of spring noise

The media could not be loaded.  Order this for my Son pretty upsetting as he tells me this is not magnetic and not stickerless! Will definitely be returning this!

We like this cube quite a bit. The magnets are nice to get things snapping together. It makes it easier to get a good twist. The magnets feel a little weaker than I think I would like, but on the other hand, maybe a stronger magnet would make it harder to twist?With some other cubes like this, I've found that the corner pieces can get twisted and make solving the cube harder. These corners seemed very hard to twist into those positions.

Looks fake.

This rubics cube works well. It is good quality and spins smoothly. The quality is nice, the only real complaint I have is that the instructions are not in English. They do tell you how to solve it so it would be useful - so I took a star off. But besides that it is a great toy!
