Clinical Works 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask 100 ml 3.38 US fl oz Tube

Although the company shipping this was excellent, I was not a fan of the product itself. It is extremely moisturizing, to the point of being too hydrating. It made my face feel slick and a bit greasy, and I broke out two days later. This is probably just not the right product for my skin. The texture was great, and the warming was very soothing! Probably a great product for someone with drier skin.

I was looking for a quick detoxifying mask I could use, especially during weekdays when my schedule can get quite hectic which doesn’t leave much room for clay/mud mask and stumbled on this product. Given the price, I decided to give it a shot. For reference’s sake, I have oily/combination skin and do get occasional mild breakouts. Prior to introducing this product into my rigorous skincare routine I was on a two months acne/breakout free streak. Introducing this product into my regime did not break me out at all, matter of fact, I broke out when I introduced another product in my skincare routine about a month afterwards. Whether this product made a difference in my skin, I can’t tell since I adhere to a rigorous skincare regime and have a healthy skin apart from the small periodic breakouts I get.However, it seems to make my skin more oily after use. For instance, if I use this mask before bed, I wake up with a very oily face or if I use it in the morning my face is oilier than usual during the day. Additionally, it has a watery consistency and doesn’t rinse off completely. Its leaves an oily (well I have oily skin so…) film once I rinse it off (I didn’t experience this when I once washed it off with hot water, I wouldn’t advise doing this though). I also notice a lot of visible white head on my nose after washing it off, I usually follow up with a nose strip. I choose to be positive and see it as a sign of bringing the impurities within the pores to the surface. As for the thermal aspect, you will probably miss it if you blink…Given the price and the fact that it doesn’t break me out, I don’t mind using it once in a while and dealing with the “oilier” aftermath.

This is OK. It has a nice thermal action to it, but the product itself is a little slimy and watery. It's do-able, but I think I expected more of a clay-like consistency that dried on my face after the initial thermal reaction. I will probably use this with my Olay facial cleansing machine as a thermal face wash, so not all is lost. But, if you are looking for a mask, this is probably not the droid you are looking for. (Star Wars reference there) ;-)
