I ordered these bamboo sheets back then from a promotion not knowing about bamboo and thinking it was silly. But I was extremely surprised and told co-workers about bamboo sheets because of it. Thought it was funny that the brand Hotel Sheets really lives up to the name "Hotel" type quality. I then got another color set because I lived it that much. Cooling sheets, soft and smooth to the skin like silk but has enough resistance unlike santeen or silk that you slide off. They have made me switch to being in shorts just to be engulfed in the feeling. They feel luxurious and elevates quality of living, not to sound ridiculously over the top, but bamboo bedding is really all that.Getting back to the point, I've tried another brand for a duvet cover because Hotel sheets didn't have a particular color available at the time. Then purchased another duvet cover from a third brand with more confidence in brands that use bamboo, and the product came with a chemical smell and rougher, not as smooth. I thought that with some wear, the sheets would smooth out like the previous experiences, but didn't the same way, also not as cool and smooth, with this strange feeling like it retained some heat. I just couldn't get satisfied with the product. Ordered a replacement duvet cover from Hotelsheets and there definitely was a difference. Just from the start, I was able to feel the difference and feel the happiness it brings when I roll around in them. Relieved, Hotelsheets is reliable and I am extremely happy with its quality. All bedding needs to be 100% bamboo.

UPDATE 1/2025: I still have this duvet and it’s used every day. Still looks great, almost brand new! (I accidentally washed it in hot water a few times. Be sure to follow the washing directions to maintain it.) It’s, amazingly, gotten even softer over the years. I’ve since purchased 2 more of these sets in white and light blue. They’re as wonderful as this original purchase. House guests consistently ask me to send them the duvet information so they can buy their own for home. Can’t recommend it enough.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Wow. The lengthy search for the perfect duvet cover is finally over. I haven’t written a product review in years but had to share for others out there.My husband is a notoriously restless sleeper because he gets hot. He tosses, kicks, and rolls all night. I’ve tried numerous other duvet covers in a myriad of fabrics and none kept him comfortable and cool all night. Even using the duvet without a cover didn’t breath enough for him. I didn’t want to spend a fortune especially since nothing had worked out so far.All our bedding is white, however, the cal king white cover was sold out and I was desperate to try this bamboo cover, so I ordered the navy blue. It’s true to color and cal king size. It’s gorgeous! Nice sheen and super soft to the touch. I washed it before trying it.Here’s where the rubber meets the road - so many previous duvets looked good, washed well, and felt nice to the touch. But how would it feel all night? Would it pass the husband test?YES! Even my husband is impressed. He frequently travels for work and now texts me how much he misses the duvet cover from home. He’s completely stopped his restless behavior of rolling, tossing/turning, and kicking in his sleep. And that’s not an exaggeration. It’s taken over 6 years to find the perfect duvet cover and this is it. The duvet cover keeps us both comfortable. It’s so breathable and silky. Seriously, stop your search and order this duvet! For the price and performance you won’t find better.As soon as the white cal king is back in stock, I’ll buy that and use the blue one in my guest room.
