SwanNordic Digital Microwave Grey 20L

Apparrently this microwave is not designed to handle food products, especially those designed for microwaves specifically. We have this microwave and a couple of days ago it stopped working. I contacted Swan as it was in warranty. The agent advised the fault is not that of the product, but the food is the sinister culprit. I was making MICROWAVE popcorn, as in designed for microwaves and the same microwave popcorn I have used for years, probably 20 years and never a problem with any microwave before now). Apparently their microwave can't handle popcorn (and likely other foods designed for microwaves, arguably food in general). As sad and funny as it was to hear this it got better!! They told me to contact the popcorn company to ask them to replace my microwave.  If I was steaming veg would they tell me to find the farmer!? What if i was reheating food I cooked, would they blame my oven (probably, unless it was a Swan oven, in which case probably the plate's fault cause although it says microwave safe... is it.. IS IT REALLY!?). The lack of accountability is impressive, does Trump secretly own Swan? So if you do buy this and it breaks tell them you had it on just for fun cause apparently it can't handle food. I would be cautious with their toasters and kettles too. Maybe make sure you have the contact details for your local water supplier or bakery should you make tea or toast and they break

If you are looking to buy the Nordi range individually and match them, don’t bother. Really nice looking quality micro way, just the colour in the Range is very different to the toaster and the Kettle. That’s all, just looks very odd and sticks out like a sore thumb.

while microwaving popcorn. something in the microwave under the turntable exploded; flames were shooting from under the turntable and the glass plate shattered. It is less than a year and a half old and no metal has been used in it.Apart from that it is straightforward to use and looks good, though the rubber surface stains .Amazon service is excellent - a quick online chat and they will issue a full refund when it is returned.

Gorgeous looking microwave that’s easy to use however after 10mths it just stopped working!! I’m not the only one to find this either by looking at other reviews. Amazon are great and sending me out another but I have no confidence in this microwave now - Shame as I have the matching kettle.

Microwave didn't work. Won't heat anything. Retured and ordered a replacement which also did not work. Both Amazon Warehouse deals. Amazon need to check items actually function and not just cross their fingers and flog them off cheaply. Very disappointing. I have a newborn and need a new microwave for sterilising so am not a happy customer. Lots of reviews saying the same. Should have read reviews first. Amazon seemingly turning a blind eye and just continuing to sell faulty goods
