Useful For Making a Great Cup of Coffee
I have two coffee makers -- a Jura automatic machine that grinds the beans immediately before brewing and makes very good espresso, latte, cappucino, etc, as well as a decent cup of coffee. But when I simply want a great cup of coffee, I use my pour-over carafe (actually, I have two sizes, in case my wife wants a cup as well). This kettle, with it's precision, pour-over spout does what it's supposed to do -- pour hot water in an even, precise manner over ground coffee. I've tried to use my carafes with a conventional tea kettle (even one with a longer-than normal spout), and it just makes a mess, unevenly dumping too much water on the ground beans. If you pour too much hot water over the beans, they will not percolate properly and your coffee will be weak. I don't think there's much more to say. Pour-over isn't the easiest way to make coffee (though it's not very difficult; it's just not Mr. Coffee), but it is the method that tastes the best to me. This kettle is a simple tool that works. It was also nice that it came with a thermometer because you definitely do not want to pour boiling water over the beans -- the temperature should be significantly below the boiling point.

Perfect size tea / coffee kettle
I purchased this coffee/tea kettle from Amazon. This is an average size coffee/tea kettle. It is 1.2 liters. The kettle is made of steel and the handle is made of plastic. It has a goose neck pouring spout, so it is easy to pour into a cup. This purchase also included a thermometer. The top of the kettle comes off easily. This kettle is easy to clean. I think this coffee / tea kettle was priced average. I like this kettle and I would recommend it.

Good for the price
Was looking for a reliable teapot and this does the trick.It come with a thermometer so it's quite nice that I can easily check the temperature (as I like to make sure when I make tea that the water is 90c)As you see in the picture, it even came with nice rubber pieces to help protect it in shipping
