BEST Footbags -> Value & History & Multi-Functionality & Aesthetics & Customer Service
I did a lot of thorough research to decide on and purchase this set of three footbags directly from Flying Clipper as the seller. This is easily the best value footbag/set available online as the list price is significantly LESS than the individual items combined. I ordered this set not knowing which of the footbags I would like, so it's kind of like a buffet here, try out three footbags, see which you like, and when/if the time comes order some more. Well, what ended up happening is I love all three, appreciate each for some special characteristic, and am hooked on Dirtbags now. Some thoughts on the individual footbags and other uses I've found below:MEGA METAL DirtbagAre you kidding me? I KNOW it's just a footbag, but this thing is beautiful. Look at the photo I'm including with this review. I was surprised/stunned when I saw this because the color combination of the blue and green along with the studs is gorgeous. Yes, I know we are talking footbags, so as far as a footbag goes, this thing is LEGIT. The weight is perfect, with mine coming in at 66 grams. The size is good, it is a touch smaller than the Dirtbag Classic Footbag and the Stellar Staller. The material is very nice and tougher than the Classic Dirtbag. This thing is a DREAM for stalls and pops and I even enjoy kicking it around barefoot. There are other nice touches, I count 12 panels so that means 12 metal studs, which are stainless steel as are the stainless steel pieces inside the footbag. What I've enjoyed is kicking this around and whatever available light catches it and gives off a cool effect. The sound is also enjoyable because it gives off a nice harmonic tune, most likely the studs hitting the stainless steel pieces inside, or it's the stainless steel pieces jangling around inside. And holding it and tossing it around gives off another interesting effect, especially when it's cold, the metal studs give another dimension as far as temperature and texture as you FEEL the different temperatures when fidgeting with or handling the Mega Metal by hand. As far as looks and the other fine touches, and especially kicking around and getting a lot of attention, I love this thing.CLASSIC DirtbagThis thing is BUTTERY soft. Like purple VELVET suit on PRINCE smooth. I absolutely love the material on this, it is enjoyable barefoot, but is durable, and combined with just the right amount of sand fill, this is definitely a daily driver (or kicker). Visually I thought this would be a good beater footbag, but man this thing looks way nicer in person. The fact that it is easy to put into a pocket without much of a bulge is a nice feature. I enjoy stalls on this thing a lot, it's lighter than the Mega Metal, and I like to do stalls and kicks and sometimes kick it onto my head where it rests as a finale of sorts.STELLAR STALLER DirtbagI'll admit, I was not seriously expecting this thing to really glow in the dark. I thought it would be a novelty, but did you see the glowing Stellar Staller photo I included with my review? That was after 30 seconds of exposure to a light bulb. This thing glows enough to actually kick around IN THE DARK. What's cool about this and the Mega Metal is the material is tough enough that you could make it look like a full/complete ball/circle. It doesn't flop like the Classic Dirtbag. As far as kicking around, it's somewhere in between the Classic and the Mega Metal as a real nice all arounder. Pops on this are great, as are stalls since there are metal pieces in there too, so it makes for a great group kick footbag and also for a solo freestyle session.Dirtbag Footbag Suede PouchProbably the biggest surprise here, this thing is BUTTERY SMOOTH like the Classic Dirtbag itself. Probably made of the same material. When the pouch is the same suede Classic footbag material, that's impressive. It easily fits the three footbags, probably another two could fit in there. It has nice vents in the back side of it, which I like because it kind of shows off the footbags.So these footbags have become one of the few items that I use and rely on every day. There are only a handful of brands that this applies to, as I am a minimalist of sorts, and now Flying Clipper is in that club for me. It was more than two decades ago that I had a multi-colored sewn ball thing that I had removed a bunch of the plastic beads out of to make a footbag of sorts. Back then it was tough to find/buy things online, so I had to be creative. I used that traveling in a couple of countries and that was my first experience with a footbag. Then in 2004 or so I bought a yellow footbag that Nike was making, interestingly, I remember that was around $10 or so. But FINALLY it was only recently that I somehow got back into the footbag world, did a lot of research and found out about Flying Clipper.For an item to be special in my eyes, not just to get FIVE STARS on an Amazon review, it needs these five elements:1. VALUE: considering how many times I've used and will continue to kick around these footbags, the price tag is very reasonable. Combine that with the fact that Flying Clipper stands behind their products (more in section 5 below) it's easy to see why I bought this set and will buy more. I researched a few other footbag companies, and while the individual prices of the footbags were close in range to the Dirtbag line, I chose Flying Clipper because this set is a crazy good value, and because Flying Clipper has what most other footbag makers don't, and that's history.2. HISTORY: does the item or company making it have history? In this case yes, a lot of it. The President of Flying Clipper, Jim Fitzgerald, also founded the company back in the day, early 1980s or so, and they were the first ones to create multi-colored footbags. There's a lot of history out there about Flying Clipper that I read, how Jim Fitzgerald got the nickname "Toes" and how many footbags he's hand sewn. That's for history nuts like me, but it's good to know the footbags I'm kicking or tossing around today originated way back in the beginning.3. MULTI-FUNCTIONALITY: sure these things are just "footbags" but in this age of tech and digital addiction or overuse, it's good to just FEEL something once in a while. To break a sweat, to get that heart pounding. These footbags, especially the Mega Metal has been such a welcome change. I leave it on my desk, next to my plant. Every so often rather than take a break and look at my phone, I'll take a small footbag break session. I find kicking footbags around to be quite meditative, and depending on how deep into thought I am, sometimes I'll just toss one of the footbags around, or walk around feeling the contents whether it's sand, metal, or the texture. Flying Clipper sells juggling balls, but these are perfect for my amateur juggling skills, the fact that each has a different weight and slightly different texture keeps me on my toes.4. AESTHETICS: I like things that I use daily to look good, whether it is merino wool socks with a lifetime warranty, or a pair of German headphones, or even a watch, digital or not. Many of the Flying Clipper footbags are striking, not just the Mega Metal that I love so much. The multi-color paneled Special K and Classic Dirtbags are beautiful, many of the fluorescent yellow ones especially mixed with orange panels like the Phat Tyre are too, even the retro looking footbags like the Tangent with purple fabric, the list goes on. It's almost a shame to kick these things and use them as footbags, but considering Flying Clipper stands behind their products, I'll keep kicking them.5. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Prior to purchasing, I contacted Flying Clipper to verify that this three pack of footbags would be blue exactly like the picture, and when I got a message back, I thought that was Amazon notifying me that I had sent a message. Nope, that was Jim replying to my question. I contacted Flying Clipper again after my purchase, and again extremely speedy communication and customer service.To wrap this up, I know a few extraordinarily successful entrepreneurs, lawyers, tech guys, even a few business people who have some sort of thing that they leave on their desks. Sometimes it's a souvenir reminding them of a place they once saw, or a photo of where they want to go next, or an elaborate letter opener. Others will have a small ball to bounce, a Rubik's cube. I know one guy that even has Play-Doh in a drawer because he likes to create by hand when he feels he's stuck on something he's working on. Toby from the TV show The West Wing used to bounce a Spalding High Bounce Ball against the wall. We're often so focused and thinking one way that we forget to use our hands and be mechanical like our ancestors were for thousands of years. Leaving a footbag on my desk has changed that for me, and knowing I'm using a footbag that has roots going back 35 years or so, that updates and tinkers with different designs and colors, and has stellar customer service, that's pretty cool. I think the lesson is nowadays we have less time to "think" which is why so many brilliant ideas come about in the shower where we're away from our digital devices. These footbags have given me some more of that peace and quiet, to let ideas foster even during kicking sessions, or to even kick around with kids who have no idea about the history or the value, but find joy in sport, in simplicity, and who remind us to always stay young at heart.

Nice to see I can still find a quality sack at a reasonable price
I've been trying to teach my grandson how to play but the only bags I could find locally are claiming to be copies of the crocheted style but are just an overstuffed plastic bag of plastic beads that have no control for a young beginner and fall apart quickly.These are filled just about right. The 12 panel bags have good reaction for outdoor play and the 8 panel bag is soft enough for easy control and keeps a 6 year old boy from launching it to the neighbors yard, at least until he learns how to whip his foot better.To the makers of Dirtbag, I wouldn't mind a style that's a little larger so it could hold more sand to be a little heavier and still have the slack these do.

Just what I was looking for
This is exactly what my 15 and 13 yr old grandsons wanted. I had a minor packaging issue and the seller responded immediately. So both customer service and product is 5 star

Great Bags
I bought these for my military son-in-law to put in his care box when he was in Iraq. He loved them! I also talked to the seller a couple of times, and he was very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend these bags. Unfortunately they were stolen when he was there right before he came home, but he did get to enjoy them for a few months.

Nice!
Absolutely love everything about these! Love the caring case and the quality is amazing! Would make great gifts! Update, Kids pulled them out yesterday and the soccer one as you can see the stitching coming apart and losing beads. All are still like new barely used. Little disappointed as I had a a kid one for years!

My grandson loves them
I gifted these to my grandson. He loves them this is his favorite brand and he's constantly showing me something else about why he loves them. The quality of stitching he says they're more bouncy. The other day he came in and said "Grandma this one bounces so high". It makes me feel good to give a gift that is so appreciated
