Q: How can i get a replacement telescope power cable with the male to male connectors, the one from the tank to the nexstar power port?

Yeah, the threaded end of that cable doesn't fit my EQR-6 mount anyway. The problem is, a non Celestron male barrel connector like the one for the PTLP is a shorter barrel! It doesn't go into the battery far enough to stay in if it's jostled. So they managed to make a proprietary cable here. However, I am finding that the threaded end STILL makes good contact into my ASIAir pro to supply battery power to the AIR. I at first thought, "how do I removed this threaded nut"? But perhaps it's not necessary. From the above instruction on removing the nut, I don't understand what they are saying to do?

I have the same mount, but my first try was a disaster. I hadn't regularly charged my PTLP and I got to the dark site (3 hour drive) and plugged in the PTLP to run only the EQ6-R mount. It lasted 15 minutes and was dead, despite having been charged the previous night. Disaster. I am now recharging and discharging and recharging the battery to try and get it back to correct sensing. It seems to be doing better. Advice: Test it at home before you assume it will work for you. Don't make the mistake I made.
