Q: Will this work for an air intake or is it only made for an exhaust line?

It's made to work as an exhaust and the flap to close by gravity when not in use. I guess you could take the flap off since its just a little plastic flap piece and make it into an intake with some kind of filter Jerry-rig or what ever your intended intake would need.
