Better for their Teeth!
I am not a vet, but these pellets seem like such better quality and better for rabbits teeth than the old fashioned pellets. Their hardness and size seem like they would be good for their ever growing teeth. The pellets are large and hard and fresh smelling. My rabbit goes nuts over them. Rabbits need mostly hay for their diet. But I feed a little bowl of these to her every morning and night.

Nearly perfect
My 5 year old American Sable rabbit loves kaytee's field and forest. It is his favorite food. I give him a mix of these and another brand's organic pellets, because they complement each other. I like that field and forest has no molasses which is sugar and should not be given to rabbits. There are a lot of quality ingredients, the smell and appearance are good, smell is like roasted veggies. It is not entirely green like other rabbit pellets, there are some red parts, maybe from beets. It also contains probiotics. It's the best of what Kaytee has to offer. When we first adopted our bunny he was on a kaytee mix that was garbage. It took me a lot of time to switch him to healthier food. On the negative side I wish they took away soy from the formula (soy is used as a filler in rabbit's pellets). If they improved the formula I'd switch to Field and Forest entirely, soy is the biggest complain from me. Also the size is a bit odd, my bunny likes the big chunks but it is less easy to measure a tbs with them. It is also pricey IMO. PS. I recommend storing it in a tightly closed jar. I left the last batch in the original bag and small beetles found their way inside and colonized the food.

Smells good and keeps bunny happy
We love these for our bun. Helps keep his teeth grinned down. Reminds of spaghetti with the smell of oregano. Hershey eats then up quickly. It's a staple for us.

Aaaallmost the old VitaBalance (but not quite)
We used to feed the Vitakraft/VitaBalance product that was super similar, but had harder pellets. Very few pellets in this large size, but I loved them for my large bunny who really enjoyed the scavenger hunt. The Vita pellets disappeared, and despite trying with the company and pet store reps, I couldn't get a clear answer. The originals were made in the Netherlands, but the disco happened long before tariff wars, so I don't think that's related. I'm guessing the older pellets with their brittleness became a hazard? Thus the new, slightly-different pellets. My buns do enjoy these, just not as well as the original. Nice size pellets Great for bunny scavenger hunts - feed 10 pellets intentionally instead of a dish of smaller pellets Good ingredients, herbs, etc

So Good, You May Be Tempted to Try Some…
This product is very impressive. Excellent packaging with resealing top. The quality is apparent the minute you open the package. The color is vibrant and the texture is firm but moist. The smell is so fresh, like freshly baled hay. My Lop has always loved this food and I mix it with his pelletized food and larger firmer blocks to help keep his teeth in tip-top shape. This is definitely a repeat purchase for me. I have not found it in local retail stores, so quick and easy ordering via Amazon is a win.

Rabbits can be as finicky as cats
There's no accounting for taste I guess but the wild rabbit that visited my yard just skipped over these like they were rocks. He/She would appear late in the afternoon and nibble at the green stuff in the yard. I even quit mowing the lawn so as to provide more of whatever He/She was enjoying. Then I put the Rabbit Food directly in His/Her preferred exit path and amongst the naturally growing greens but it wasn't touched, even when fresh. Oh well. I can't give 5 stars; I wish I could.

Our wild bunnies are SOOO spoiled!
We bought this one time to feed the two or three wild bunnies that come to our back yard. They love it. I thought they were getting pretty spoiled, and bought cheaper rabbit food - in smaller pellets. They wouldn't tough it! So we stick to this rabbit food and give them a handful a day. They like it so much they will hop over to our patio when we go out back.
