Very disappointing
I’ve used magnets with magnetic nail polish for 4 years, with varying success. The ones that really work are the natural earth neodymium variety, I.e. really strong. The wand type magnets that most indie polish brands sell (there are 2 in this set) also work. I was really curious about these types of magnets for years, so I finally broke down and bought them. For the most part, they suck. (I tested them all on a bottle of polish that is highly magnetic, most didn’t make it past the bottle test as it is more indicative). The wand magnets are good and work well. The pen style magnets though, range from barely moving the particles to none at all. Really weak. Same thing with the shapes. Those were a little stronger though, but only on the bottle. Nothing on the nail. I did get a really good heart on the bottle once, but didn’t work on my nail. I also tried putting the shapes with a wand magnet, but it worked like the shape wasn’t even there. So, all in all a bust, but I did get two more good wand magnets. Finally, a few good tips for magnetic nails learned the hard way - use a strong magnet (neodymium is best, you can get them here on Amazon), apply a generous coat, make sure to hold it over your nail for 30 sec to a minute each coat and also your top coat. This will help spreading. Work on one nail at a time. Also, if you can get your hands on DRK’s TC Magnetic Magic top coat, it’s amazing. I don’t know if Amazon sells it (I don’t think so), but you can get it on DRK’s website when the shop is open or on Polish Pickup the first weekend of every month (I’ve tried 3 times to put the web addresses of those 2 sites on this review and Amazon won’t let me, so search the names in google and make sure you look for DRK Nails). Hope this helps!

Please don’t waste your money!
These are terrible. The majority of the magnets don’t or barely work. The ones with the patterns are all mislabeled and half of them don’t even work. I didn’t remove the stickers so they should but still don’t work. The wand ones, like the flower and pen tips, are so weak it doesn’t make the magnetic polish even react. I tried thick and thin coats, other magnetic polishes, and waiting almost a full minute and still no reaction. It’s honestly embarrassing how terrible this product is. Avoid these! The image I’ve added was supposed to be the star-like line pattern magnet which came up with the faintest horizontal lines. The horizontal line pattern magnets, thinking that maybe the stickers were switched, came up as a single vertical line that’s barely visible.

Ok, some magenta seem weak. But over all good for the price.

Great cat eye tool
These are great for working with cat eye polish. They're a little time consuming to get the hang of the magnet, but once you do it's amazing the shapes you can create!

Little too difficult for us.
While I know a lot of people who are good at this and made the kit work, we just couIdnt get it to do anything. My daughter in law graduated cosmetology school last year and is focusing on the nails. I got this kit for her along with some polish and we just couldn’t make it work right. Some looked okay , others were a complete mess. We got another kit similar to this that we had better success with , so while I’m sure some of it was user error, not all of it was since we were able to do it with a different system.

Pleasantly surprised!!
I was very pleasantly surprised with the strength of each magnet. It takes a bit of getting used to, centering the heart and such. I would recommend these!!!
