TIGERWAVE 6" REVERSIBLE SAFETY WIRE PLIERS

Great pliers and yes this is the tiger wave, several others showed the tiger wave jaw but were not when I got them. It is an essential tool for working on Rolls Royce 250 engines as all safety wire is .020 inch and can be damaged by the straight jaw pliers. It was hard to get used to the locking style but still the best one out there.

Locking mechanism doesn't always work when you squeeze the handle. Extremely irritating!!

I'm an aircraft mechanic and I use safety wire pliers several times a week. They lasted 3 days before the lock pin backed out. I was able to fix them myself but for the price they cost me this shouldn't be happening. Ok for occasional use I guess.

Can be a little weird to use. they bind up a little when you are trying to get them to lock or release. But do like the one had operation.

These are going back to Aircraft Tool Supply. The first pair I ordered were defective out of the box. Aircraft Tool Supply sent me a new pair right away. They worked for a little while but gradually stopped releasing and locking reliably. The last time I tried to use them they were useless. I'll go back to the classic Milbars. These squeeze on/squeeze off pliers are a great idea but until the execution can match the idea, they're a bad idea.

Excellent wave jaw safety wire pliers, jaws are smooth and don't marr wire ( important for FAA spec or track wiring). Locking mechanism takes a bit to get used to from traditional but much easier and one handed proficient after several minutes. Would buy again if needed but very strong hinge and doubt will ever wear out like cheaper versions.

I was not satisfied with this product. I would recommend no to buy it.

Straight out of the box, they only wanted to click in one direction. After pouring a few drops of air tool oil into the rotating barrel and working it around, it works 100% perfect. Couldnt be any happier with this tool.PS:Also pull out the extending part and give it the same treatment with the air tool oil
