Spectra Premium OS5071 Oxygen Sensor

My 92 Jeep Wrangler (YJ) 4.0 was sputtering and backfiring on me. I thought it was shifting related or heaven forbid my manual transmission was failing me. Read all the forums for advise and went through my own checklist of to-do items. Changed the TPS (throttle position sensor), replaced the MAP sensor, and cleaned the IAC (intake air control) valve. No improvement. I’m not one to just throw parts at a vehicle when trying to diagnose a problem. However, I have 277xxx miles on her and I had yet to freshen up these sensors. It was on my list of to-dos anyway. So next was to swap out the never before changed o2 sensor. Not only did it resolve the backfire and shifting issue but it gave my baby New life. I’m seeing better throttle response, improved gas mileage, and the exhaust even smells better (if that makes sense to anyone). This is a good quality product that I’d recommend. Arrived in 2 days via Prime and have no regrets.

I bought this to replace a faulty cheap crank position sensor that did not work once the engine warmed up, or I drove it a couple of miles down the road. It acted like it was not getting gas and would cut out and shut off. Then after a few minutes would start up again and run for a short time and act up, and shut off again. It would do the same if left idling for some time. This one is doing the same thing out of the box. Going to try a NAPA CPS.
