Having been in the beauty business, I’ve tried MANY, many face lotions and creams, including ones that cost up to about a $1000 a jar but this one was such an amazing surprise to me!I’ve never heard of this Portuguese brand but I have used donkey milk products before and have read about their skin beneficial properties so I was curious about this family owned brand of free range/cruelty free donkey milk products.The face cream comes in plastic squeeze tube, which is slightly unusual at this price point, but a far superior choice over a jar for sanitary reasons. It seems the brand has chosen to invest in a high quality formulations over unnecessary, overly fancy packaging which I applaud. The cream is a dense, medium weight. The light scent is hard to describe but I imagine it’s what heavens smells like (no joke, I later read that a master perfumer created the scent). A small pearl size dollop is enough for smoothing over my entire face. The texture is creamy and almost waxy in the best way possible. It feels like a lightweight eiderdown comforter on my skin. It’s not greasy or shiny but it also doesn’t disappear into nothingness. It leaves my skin feeling a little bit like how it feels when run your fingertips over the most delicate suede. Its protective and moisturizing quality lasts all night until morning for me. I’m in love! I cannot recommend it more highly.P.s. Something about this cream reminds me of Embroylisse but this cream is richer, more protective and so, so much more.

Not sure why this received such positive reviews. I don’t consider myself as having sensitive skin, but this moisturizer burned when I applied it on cleansed skin and left my skin sensitized for several days.

This is the first time I ever tried a donkey milk product. After patch testing with no adverse results, I was excited to start using this product,especially since it states “it can reduce wrinkles by 41% after only 28 days”,quite a bold claim in my opinion.I used way too much product the first time. Almost a quarter sized amount’s worth came out and I found I only need a little more the nickel’s worth to cover my face. I was impressed at not only how quickly my skin absorbed the right amount ,but also how soft my skin felt the next morning. It has a very mild scent and I have to say it feels like a much more expensive product. Except for my heavy hand using it the first time, the nickel sized amount seems just about perfect.My skin was super dry and after using this for 28 days, I have to say my face feels extremely hydrated. Do I see a 41% reduction in wrinkles? I’d have to say no, but I had emergency surgery in November and I swear that experience added 10 years to my entire body and I seem to be fighting wrinkles everywhere( here’s hoping I win with some recovery time). I think as I get closer to full recovery, I’ll start to see more results. I’m only using this at night but I have to say it did make a huge improvement in how soft and hydrated my skin feels. I really like this product!

This is my first ever donkey milk product and holy cow, I love it!I had no idea what to expect from this cream, so I was really surprised at how fantastic it is.The first time I tried it, I used it on freshly cleaned skin, with no oil on top (as I normally would), because I wanted to see how it would perform on its own. I used about a nickel sized amount and that was more than enough. It went on smoothly, absorbed quickly, and made my face feel super soft and smooth - as if I applied two creams one on top of the other or an oil on top of a cream. I couldn't stop touching my face.When I woke up the next day, my face was still soft and smooth, it felt wonderful.Since the first time, I've been using this under an oil in my everyday routine, and it works wonderfully. My face feels soft and smooth all day. Even as I write this, I can't stop touching my face.I do want to note that, if you are layering this cream with other products, you need to make sure this cream is completely absorbed before you move on to the next product. After the second time I used it, I noticed that I had quite a lot of pilling and it was due to this cream (I've never experienced pilling from a product before, so I know it's this cream).Still, the pilling isn't big enough of a issue for me to affect the cream's rating, because this cream is that freakin good.Buy it!!:)

This cream is very interesting on several levels. I purchased it because the fact that it comes from Portugal and that donkey milk is in it piqued my interest.The face cream itself is unscented and absorbs easily into the face, leaving skin soft. I could not detect any fragrance.I did a little research on this product online, and it's pretty fascinating. The owner of this company had read that Cleopatra used to bathe in donkey milk for beautiful skin. Apparently he hired people to research the formula and engineers developed this cream. If you go to the company's website, they show the farm in Portugal where the donkeys live and photos of the 50 donkeys that provide the milk for this face cream and their other products. I have to give this five stars not simply because it's a nice quality face cream, but also because of the fascinating backstory on this product!One note: it's not vegan, but based on the story on the website, it appears that the donkeys and their foals are treated well and roam around grazing on Portuguese grass
