Red Heart Yarn Rocks
I love Red Heart yarn and use it for all of my projects. I am a very experienced crocheter. I have been at it for over 50 years and have made dozens of afghans and baby blankets, all with Red Heart yarn.I bought 6 skeins of this yarn to make a blanket for a young child. (please see photos)One reviewer complained that the end product was not soft. Try a larger hook.Another complained about knots in the yarn. It happens. Just keep an eye out.Another complained about a discoloration. This is extremely rare, but it happens. Just keep an eye on your project as you work.

Acceptable for the price
If I had paid full price for this I would be displeased. But for around $3 per skein it is acceptable. Its not at all soft but possibly will be after washing. There has been more than an average amount of splitting and I had to cut out one small section because it was all separated and some strands were bunching up. So far no knots though, just one continuous yarn. I'm making socks, well more adult booties than socks, and wanted to try self-striping yarn for them. This was available at a great price so I bought it.

1 skein is not enough for most projects
I love the way my finished project looks; but the cost was $10.00 It took 3 rolls to make one hoodie with attached scarf (short scarf) I wanted to sell these next month, but my price would be too much for the ppl I know. This is a good yarn, and easy to work with; the PRICE IS TOO HIGH for the amount I received! ( 5 oz $3.00 ) since most projects would take 2 or 3 skeins . . . They should make variegated available in larger rolls ! It is hard to find Jumbo rolls of variegated colors. Where is the variegated one pounders (reasonably priced please)?

Works beautifully for patterns of any skill level. This scarf is a gift I'm proud to give.
This yarn works up into luscious stripes with a nice gradual gradient. It does have places in the skein that are stiff, like there is dye or starch in the fibers but that washed out nicely. Your finished piece will be beautiful.

Beautiful colors
I learned to crochet when I was in my early 20s and I've been using Red Heart yarn almost the whole time. This yarn never fails me. It does not unravel, the skein is not tangled and the colors remain true. This particular skein I'm using to crochet a "fidget sleeve" for my elderly mother with dementia. I'm hoping it will keep her from picking at her skin, her nails, whatever she can pick at. The colors are bright and cheerful and she should be able to see it very clearly.

Different Dyes - Different Textures
I bought this yarn because of the color and price. When it arrived I was not disappointed by either of those but keep in mind this is NOT a soft yarn. The different colors of dye along the skein changed the way it felt throughout. Not only was the texture different and unpleasant the thickness also changed throughout because of the dyes.I used it to make a hat crochet pattern but I plan to never wear or gift that hat. It's too scratchy. The colors are fantastic but due to the feeling of the yarn itself I want to advise to look for projects with this yarn that won't have it end up as a wearable item. Using this as a craft item, a toy, or maybe to make a bag or decoration would work fine.

3 stars for inconsistency in color transition in one skein
So far, I've only used half of one of the four skeins I purchased. Unfortunately, as pictured, while winding up the second skein into a ball I found the beautiful color transition was ruined by this crap job. I guess that means a small portion (half the size of my fist) of this skein is wasted, since it won't look as good with a bad color transition. I'm worried about winding up the remaining 2 skeins and finding more evidence of wasted money. Will update later.

Nice bright soft yarn
I thought I'd try this bright yarn and to be honest I tried four different scarf patterns before I found out e that looked right with the yarn, I found there's no pattern to the colour changes which was annoying at first but once I found the right pattern I was away, I brought two skeins and I was 3 stitches from finishing but luckily I ended with black so was able to join another one on, it looks awesome, my friend loves it, definitely recommend.

Itchy and coarse.
I purchased this wook to make a coat for my little dog.I loved the colours! Perfect for what I wanted. However, I had to abandon the project soon after beginning.Whe wool was SO coarse and itchy! Not at all suitable for something that will connect with the skin, including scarfs, blankets, dog coats, etc.I have used double knit yarn for decades, in many projects, but never have I felt a yarn as rough as this.I've given it 1 star, purely because of the colour..

Lovely colours
This yarn is very stiff - not soft at all - rather itchy. I bought this as I loved the colour combination - very 80s ! - furthermore when the yarn was broken during spooling, the re-attaching is just bad ! for example, you had the yellow yarn, then suddenly a break and you had the purple coloured yarn piece attached to it - this happened with all 10 rolls I bought all together ! - I had to correct it by cutting out the not matching pieces and re-attached it - lost a bit of yarn but at least the colouring now flows. I made a cover but it is stiff and itchy. Would not buy it again.

Not my cup of tea
I was surprised, it was a smaller ball than I expected for the price, it was also quite hard to knit with, I couldn't make a baby blanket with it so was a bit stuck as I found it very stiff to work with

Stunning Colours
The quality is what I’d expect for a non premium acrylic. But the colours in the yarn are stunning. Perfect for hats, scarves, cowls and mitts. I think the texture of the yarn will improve with a wash and some fabric softener. No problem as I always wash my completed projects.
