Excellent piece of equipment ideal with dogholes

Attached to a Centipede, this makes a very stable and versatile MFT workbench, particularly for those with limited space (like me) or if you want a portable bench to use in the field I bought the metric version, which has true 20 mm dog holes. I have, nevertheless, had to ream these, but only I think because of varying atmospheric conditions. Because the workbench is uncoated, I sealed it before use. It is easy to slide into place once you get used to it but it is quite heavy so make sure that your fingers do not get trapped when folding it for storage. One irritation is the pegs for securing it onto the Centipede. The pegs are inserted from underneath and are then twisted to tighten onto a cam-shaped metal insert. There is, however, a ridge on the insert which means that the peg has to be wiggled backward toward the apex in order to clear the ridge before twisting the peg into place (see photographs), the second of which shows the peg in the process of being inserted. I can think why the designers did this, but I wonder if it was really necessary. If the ridge had been placed at the edge of the hole then inserting the pegs and twisting them into place would be much easier. Apart from that one criticism, however, I am very happy with the device and it is in regular use with no signs of any failures.

Quality is good, only down side is the dog holes are slightly smaller making it difficult to use tools fr other brands.

Excellent addition to the bora, yes more expensive than just cutting a sheet of MDF but the dog holes are great.

This work surface with 20mm dog holes is very useful. There is a bit of a challenge getting the orange hold downs to rotate in the metal inserts on the corners of the work top. They mostly fit good but if the Centipede is not flat the hold downs need some manipulation to work. The second minor thing is with multiple work tops for centipedes larger that 2ft x 4ft, the single hold down is not enough to get a perfect mating of the tops. You can purchase the double top holder and replace the single ones which improves the multiple top holder downs. Otherwise this Centipede work bench with the dog hole tops are very sturdy and stable. Would buy again. Just look thru all the potential accessories to get the best results.
