Sturdy enough, my son doesn’t fight to take them off so that’s good. 4 stars because color rubs off pretty easily

These sandals are cute and go with anything, they are perfect for fat baby feet that have trouble fitting into normal closed shoes, and very flexible sole for beginner walkers. However, whatever the top, outer edge of the sole is covered with rubbed off the first time my son wore them when he tripped and it rubbed against blacktop. It's not a big deal to me, because with shipping I think I only paid $7, and you do normally get what you pay for. All in all it's a good shoe.
