Edinboro Beeswax 5.5-Inch Pillar Candles, Set of 2

My husband and I had been searching for beeswax candles for a while when we discovered these beautiful 100% beeswax hand rolled pillars. The 5.5 x 2.5 pillars added just the right touch in helping us create a very warm and hospitable ambiance in both our home and office. Guests have already commented on how pretty the honeycomb pattern is when compared to a solid poured candle. We understood from the start that hand rolled tapers and pillars don't have the same burn time as their solid rivals do. However, we opted for less time in order to keep the beauty of the honeycomb motif. Presently, it looks like we will get a 12-15 hr. burn time on the pillars and approximately a 5 hour burn time on the 8 in. tapers that we ordered from the same vendor. Speaking of the vendor...you could not ask for better service! We will be placing another order for candles for our home and for candles to give as gifts. Yes, you do "get what you pay for", and we believe we received beautiful, quality candles for a very reasonable price. My rating is based on the look of the candles and the price only. We have not used them yet.My wife bought these for the end of days. Well, that time has passed and we're still here, but I cant light the candles because we are now waiting on the next scare. If we make it through, I will surely upgrade rating to 5. If we don't Make it, I would like to ask a reader to adjust my rating accordingly.These candles are kind of cool looking and do a great job taking up space on our fireplace mantle.Regards

I really thought the candles would be bigger.. They are 5.5" tall as stated but they are not very wide. With shipping it nearly cost me close to $50.00 for 2 of these candles. I was really looking forward to seeing if they truly could clean my air as I am very sick and need clean air. But these candles will not last very long and so I don't see how they can do anything. I am disappointed...and certainly could never afford to buy more at this price. Maybe there is a better way to accomplish what I need.

As soon as I opened the box, I knew I'd been had.The seller claims these are raw, beeswax pillars, but in fact they are very light candles made from rolled up sheets of honeycomb-imprinted wax (rather than only textured that way on the exterior). The only place this is noted is if you zoom in on the label on the candles - it's not in the actual description.So, there's in fact very little bulk to the candle - there's a lot of air, and not a lot of wax. The burntime I achieved was about 14-16 hours on the one that didn't have structural problems holding together (compared to about 90hrs for a comparable raw beeswax pillar of similar dimensions).The quality of the wax itself was disappointing. Instead of the nice, clean scent of raw beeswax, it smelled stale, like it had somehow been imbued with the musty odor of an abandoned attic or mildewed woodshed. The color is much darker than in the photos - a dull brown.To use such misleading information to sell such a poor quality product (you could make better ones with your kid as a craft project) at such an exorbitant price... Ouch - but "fool me once," you know.I hope my experience helps others to avoid the same outcome.

Smells good. But it collapses quick. Wish the outter rim is made more solid. I dont mind the hollowness of it. But if the outside can be made stronger, it will be able to burn longer. Mine started around 4 hours ago, very low wind. I had to patch it to keep it in shape..

HAVING PURCHASED SEVERAL DIFFERENT STYLES OF THESE CANDLES, I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT THESE RATE AT THE TOP OF MY LIST.. THEY BURN BRIGHT AND STRONG, AND IF CAREFULLY MAINTAINED, SUCH AS TRIMMING THE WICK AND ALLOWING FOR THE PROPER "MELT POOL" TO BE ESTABLISHED, YOUR CANDLE WILL BRING HOURS OF PURE PLEASURE.. I AM VERY FOND OF THIS HONEYCOMB STYLE AND HAVE TERMED THE PHRASE "LIQUID LACE".. IF YOU ENJOY THE ASTHETIC BEAUTY OF A CANDLE, THESE ARE SURE TO EXCITE AND DELIGHT.. These candles are not like other beeswax candles that I have used.They are made from sheets of very loosely rolled beeswax, which means they have less wax than a traditional beeswax pillar. Less wax = a much shorter burn time. The fact that these candles are made from rolled up sheets of wax is NOT in their product description.These candles do not burn evenly, probably due to their rolled up construction.These candles do not have the clean smell I associate with beeswax candles.Save your money and buy another beeswax pillar.

This set of 2 candles is very pretty and packaged well. They are 100% natural and burn fast..........( the 5.5 pillar only lasts 12 hrs ) They have no fragrance so it is great for people with allergies. I used these for gift giving because they are so pretty.
