Used these individually wrapped, sterile tongue depressors to apply nitrofurantoin ointment (topical antibiotic) to our Shar-pei's open wound in his hock as it is not advised to touch this ointment directly with your hands. Worked well for this purpose. Excellent quality, very smooth, great price and fast delivery.

Not sure why doctors don't readily recommend these, but after watching my elderly mother struggle to apply petroleum jelly to an active wound on her shin post MOHS surgery with a suggested cotton swab, I was like, how ridiculous. Tongue depressors were my first thought before she even started prepping. I ordered her a box -- it was the highlight of the month. So easy she said. She's 86 today. These things are so versatile, you'll be making up excuses just to use them. Affordably priced, there's no second guessing keeping a supply on hand. Get the sterile ones. Even though you might use some in the garage, you'll have all bases covered for the next medical application. I should have been a doctor...

Did not use these for medical purposes. Used them for activity with children. They were perfect. Wish I read the details more carefully as I didn’t need them individually wrapped.

The tongue depressors were as expected best value is that they come sterile in wrapped breakaway strip.

I would've preferred them lose without packaging since I'm using them mostly as utensils in my design work. not for medical purposes

Used for a senior sensitivity simulation along with bandages to immobilize the wrist while trying to perform standard tasks. Worked great, love the individual, sanitary packaging.

This is what I wanted but not individually wrapped 😩 that was my fault over all these are great to use.

I was shown by a dermatologist how to apply a prescription topical cream using the tongue depressor. You place the cream on the end of the depressor and spread it on the affected area. In my case it was for wound care. You don’t infect the area with your fingers or get the cream on your hands (or under your fingernails).
