It straightened out my thick and wavy short hair, but there were still stray hairs and it didn't feel like a "glue" type product if that's what you're looking for. Shine is medium.Overall: Very happy with this high quality product, I mix this product with my American Crew Heavy Hold and it works great. I would buy again.
