Brilliant design, but unusable because the wood is of such poor quality that I can barely find the braille dots lost in all of the tactile "noise" of a wood base that is warped, deeply-grooved, and in some places, even cracked. Also, the "braille dots" are of uneven heights. I plan to try and salvage this by using puffy pens ("popcorn" pens) on each braille dot to raise the relief. And/or maybe I'lI try using some wood putty to fill in the grooves. I hope other purchasers have better luck... :/

An excellent tool to start your Braille learning journey.

This is a nice size, with punctuation marks as well as alphabet and numbers. The wood is smooth, the raised dots are easy to feel. I like that the print uppercase letters and numbers are also raised, below the Braille letters and numbers.

Purchased product for my mother. She loves how she can easily carry it around with her.

Poor design. Why put dots and letters on the rough side of the board?! Too difficult to use for someone with low vision! Would not recommend this item.
