BlindDen Fawn, Room Darkening Cellular/Honeycomb Shades, 30" Wide x 48" Long, Cordless

Needed a dark colored shade, thought coal would be close to black, you know black as coal. Anyway shade is good quality but more a gray with a brown hue. Also screws for mounting brackets won't work if your going to inside mount, you need small flat head screws which was a problem at our cabin miles from a small town on a holiday weekend. You think they could include 4 small flat head screws instead of pan head so either mount situation would work? That's all.

While others have raved about this blind, I am having trouble with it. It looks nice but after installing the brackets, I cannot get it to clip into place. I can get it where it’s supposed to be but then it just pops out. Maybe I am doing something wrong? The end caps also keep falling off. Sigh…

I only write reviews when I love a product or I am terribly upset with a product. In this case, I love this product.. there is a big BUT, however... First, I have to say, the photos do NOT do these blinds justice. Quite honestly, I expected a cheapy blackout blind. I was floored by the quality. Honestly, this is something you would find in a Ritz Carlton. It is such high quality that it not only looks and feels very expensive, it will last for a long time. In addition, I was able to install it in under 10 minutes. With that said, it should have been a 5 minute install if it hadn't been for the hardware issue -- which is the reason I took off one star. The directions read to "rock the blind in place" to fit it into the brackets. Which makes perfect sense IF the end of the bracket was not as sharp as a knife! It literally slit my hand and blood start dripping all over my new blinds! So, my advice is, be VERY careful when you are installing this. You must use the hardware that comes with it because it fits inside of the top of the blind and you have to pop the blind into the sharp edge of the metal bracket. Other than that, the blind operates perfectly, is completely black-out once closed and is super high quality.

The media could not be loaded.  Gambled (and won!) by ordering these custom shades online. I am honestly bowled over by how awesome they are. So easy to install, very well made and just beyond belief how good they look. It could be because I had low expectations considering the price. But for real, this could possibly be the best Amazon purchase I’ve ever made. The lift mechanism is smooth, the room darkening perfect. I love them way more than I should love a consumer product. Lol

The space we have for this blind is 71 1/8 inches. So I ordered the 71" because it says in the description that sizes are exact. I was expecting 71". What I got was 71 1/8 with the end caps on so you can't raise and lower it if they are on. Luckily, all I needed to do was remove the end caps and now it fits perfectly. Otherwise, it is a great blind. It darkens the space perfectly and looks great. Given it was something like $600 less expensive than the custom blind we got a quote from a local shop, I am completely satisfied.
