I lived in Orleans courtesy of the U.S. Army. I did not like this book. It made me homesick for my beautiful Orleans. The pictures are magnificent. It Made me think what If?I could have stayed in Orleans and the surrounding area.. I should of retired in my beautiful Orleans.I am from Phoenix, Arizona and what a contrast.Jon Dennis Garrido

The Most Beautiful Villages of the Loire is more than a decorative book for your coffee table. The photographs are gorgeous, as is that area of France. The author gives picturesque descriptions of the little villages, out-of-the-way, non-commercial areas to explore with comments about culinary choices. It is a beautiful book all the way around.

If you are considering visiting the Loire Valley in France, this is a great book to buy. It also makes a wonderful "coffee table" book. If you are considering living in the Loire Valley, the pictures and narratives make your decision easy. I am very happy that I purchased this book.

A pretty good book. Delivery and serious were as expected, and some beautiful villages. I would just have liked to see more villages and country homes and fewer palaces.

Such a beautiful book to sit and dream looking at it. Saw this book someplace and so pleased to have found it on line. Great coffee table book.

Enjoyed reading and using this on our first and last time to France. I passed it on to a friend.

Covers the Loire Valley well and is a visual reminder for me of places I've already been and don't want to forget.

This is an attractive, large-format 'coffee table' book, with other books in the same format dealing with Normandy and Brittany. This book is beautifully illustrated and well-written - it would make wonderful winter reading, 'swotting up' for a planned holiday in a beautiful area of France. A couple of comments though: the first is that the chateaux of the Loire are wonderful and famous, but should they overshadow the other attractions of the area quite so much? And the Mayenne - this too is a part of the Loire Region, but gets barely a passing mention: the Mayenne is worth visiting as well, but maybe it doesn't have enough chateaux to appear on the radar of a book like this!

An excellent tome which I thought to be very well laid out,it brought back many very happy memories of several holidays in the region.

表紙の写真に一目ぼれして買いました。ちょっと高いかな…？表紙になっている写真も、中に掲載されています。本だから仕方ないのですが、見開きのページは真ん中の折り返し部分が大変憎らしいです。ですが、こういった海外の一地方を取り扱った写真集は多くありませんし、ロワール地方の空気が伝わってくるよい1冊と思います。

綺麗な風景、美しい構図。被写体は申し分ないのだが、印刷が微妙にずれているような感じになってしまっている。写真集としては減点せざるを得ない。

フランス、ロワール川流域に点在する古城と周囲の町村の風景写真集です。写真が豊富でこの地方の風景や暮らしが窺がえます。町並みの写真が多数なので、この地方の建築様式も写真で見る事が出来ます。ロワール川流域は古城が有名ですが、周囲の田園風景も美しいので、それを見る事が出来る数少ない写真集のひとつだと思います。
