Ouch
Well, they look just like the picture. I got these because of numbness in my hands due to pinched nerves in my neck. They certainly are sturdy little things. Unlike some reviewers, I had no trouble with the very supportive velcro closures, even though my hands are often very numb. My guess would be that, as a support for typing on a keyboard, this product would work better for men than for women: the fabric is very sturdy and unforgiving on small or weakened wrists. My biggest disapointment though, is that, like many people with carpal tunnel or similar issues, unconsciously making fists and turning in of the wrists during sleep needs to be prevented. For this purpose, I give these braces a big fat zero. The palm support is so unyielding and stiff that I actually woke up during the night feeling as though the centers of the palms of my hands had been jabbed with a blunt stick. Very painful. But, as I said, on bigger stronger hands these would probably be fine.

Allows for too much movement
Based on some favorable reviews I ordered this wrist support. It sounded like it would be the ideal solution for my wrist pain which is caused by long hours of computer work. However, this did not work for me at all. While it works great supporting the hand/wrist from falling "downward", it did not keep my wrist from bending upward (or as another reviewer here says "backward"), which is something that I seem to be doing when typing. So if your pain is caused by bending your wrist downward too much, this is the brace for you. If, on the other hand, you are like me and tend to bend your hand slightly upward, you should look for something else. Regrettably I had to return this.

AMAZING little brace!
ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. It doesn't look like much, but this little brace does the job of those huge, cumbersome wrist braces and then some. It allows for movement of the fingers easily (for typing or long days at the computer). You are not supposed to drive if you have those large wrist braces on, but this brace allows you the freedom to be able to grip the wheel without hindering your ability to make turns and maneuver your vehicle. I can go on and on about all this things this brace allows you to do, but I have cookies in the oven, and this wrist brace actually fits inside my oven mit and supports my wrist as I remove the cookie sheet. :D

It helps a lot.
It helps to ease the pain. I use it a couple of weeks per month, specially when using the mouse a lot, it really helps.

saved me, was in constant pain working. Since I been using this brace for years now have not had any pain at all.-update: Been using for about 3 years now, on my third one. Pain has never returned. Will keep using as this brace helps me work more ergonomically and I do not want that fire to return..

Best Low profile wrist support
Love this product. I like it so much I have bought two - one for each wrist. Recommended it to my sister who also is getting a second one. The low profile is so much better than other wrist supports which wrap around the entire hand. I use it every night to prevent my wrist from bending and it works,

Strangles more than helps
At first it, the supports helped. But after a while, I felt my blood vessels becoming more and more restricted. I gradually had to loosen the supports to the point where they were so loose, I might as well have not worn them. So I stopped. I've decided to instead purchase an ergonomic keyboard and mouse (I'm still waiting on the keyboard, but so far, just using an ergonomic mouse has made a WORLD of a difference). And yes, I brought the mouse (and will be bringing in the keyboard) to work. As far as home computer use goes, I've just cut down drastically. (Try to relax all muscles when typing, don't type too hard, stretch/shake out your hands/wrists often, keep your elbows close to your sides if you're using a regular keyboard, etc.) The scream-out-loud pain hasn't returned since. Though there's still a little discomfort and/or pain every now and then, but hopefully that'll change once I receive my keyboard.

CARPAL MATE WRIST SUPPORT
I bought 2 for my wife and the pain in both wrist disappeared within just a few hrs. These are very inexpensive and my wife loves them. Her hands have freedom of movement while on the computer. She also loves them because her hands and arms are not covered like larger braces on the market. They are a lot cooler than her old braces. Her only complaint is the velcro is so strong it's hard to take them off. Better to have quality than not. I would reccomend this product to any one with carpal tunnel syndrome.

Pain free PC work
I have been using one of these Carpal Mate wrist supports for 12 years and am now on my 4th one.I suffered with quite sever ergonomic wrist pain whilst working on a PC. Despite a lot of physio, the pain never really went away. Now using the support, I can spend the whole day working on a PC without any pain whatsoever. The strap is quite compact an easily fits in a back pocket and machine washable (delicate wash) if it get a bit grubby.
