Audio2000'S ADC2716B Cable Reel, Capacity: 330' of 6mm cable, Black

This is a very sturdy and high quality spindle. You can use it with lots of things, electrical cords, twine, etc, but what we purchased it for was Christmas lights. A couple of years ago we bought a super long strand (it fits an entire tree) of Christmas lights. They were always getting tangled up. This was the perfect solution! It's easy to roll some off a little at a time to decorate the tree, and also to reel it in a little at a time when removing the lights at the end of the season. Saves a lot of time.

I ordered 2 of these to manage 2 150" LynxPro Ethercon cables and they fit perfectly. The construction is solid and works well for this application. Others have mentioned that these are not heavy duty and I would agree but for the use I intend they will be perfect. I would not recommend them for a construction job site or for more torturous applications.

I looked at and bought other reels for my 100 Ft 12 AWG extension cords but most 100 Ft reels are made for 16 AWG or possibly 14 AWG. This reel works great and is built well enough to take the abuse it gets on my job sites.

This was extremely easy to assemble and works perfectly for what I intended, which is to store Cat5 cable for a mobile PA system. The side lead storage is very helpful. A commercial version of this reel will cost 5-10 times more. As i noted, I am using this for Cat 5 cable, but I'm sure it will work well for any cable of that dimension. However, I would not recommend it for heavy duty cords.

I use this to hold my 50 foot 16 gauge extension cords. Much better than the ones I've been using for more than 20 years. Like the external hooks so I can unravel the amount of cord I need, then unhook the amount of cord I need to reach the outlet. No cord ends swinging around freely as my old ones used to allow. As I would roll them up I had to make sure I didn't get whacked by the free, plug end, of the cord. Not Any More. This is a perfect, well thought through design, for a very good price.

I own two of these, and one 1' fall when fully loaded with Ethercon cable will break where the reel connects to the stand inside, and the reel will fall off. The reel is only held on with a pressed plug inside the tube. It's easily fixable, but it's annoying nonetheless.

Love it so far. 200ft extension cord was impossible to keep untangled. Fits well on this and rolls up easily.

For the price this seem very good. It is very light so not sure how it would hold up in every day use, but for the occasional use I need it for it should be fine. I loaded it with 50 feet of 3/8 air hose. I have a retractable hose reel for normal use and I'm using this as an extension for when I need to reach the end of the drive way.
