A great read, that provides valuable insight, into how successful car manufactures utilize different supply chain strategies to maintain their positions at the top of the automotive industry, even while having uniquely different philosophies and challenges. Strongly recommend this book!

This book looks at the supply chains of GM and Toyota, with a business novel approach. The book was a quick read with some good insights and references.The book with help some with ToC and looking at lean. The book is about working with suppliers to make all successful. Toyota uses the Ecosystem approach and GM the Cost Margin plan. Toyota looking to improve the supplier experience and GM looking at cost margins through quality and pricing.Of course some looks to at the Japanese management style and some differences there.A good read about Theory of Constraints, some lean and JIT, and Supplier Relationship Management.A good, accessible read for anyone new or getting acquainted with the supply chain
