Great balance between the past and the present. At first I wasn’t sure that I cared about the history part but it made the whole picture complete. I plan on traveling Hwy 83 by motorcycle and it’ll be good to have the background. This is the first volume in the trilogy, for me, and am ready for the next part of the trip.

I have traveled Hwy 83 many times & it was interesting to learn the history of the towns. I have the three books about Hwy 83, they are well written.

A joy to visit fascinating locales with such an erudite traveling companion as Stew Magnuson. Can't wait for Covid to let up so I can hit the road and visit these sites in person. Highly recommended.
