Extreme Max 3005.3855 Straight Transom Saver with Roller Mount - 29" to 53"

I bought this new transom saver to replace a similar product from Ve-Ve that disappeared somewhere on the drive home from a fishing trip. Not Ve-Ve's fault - I used the power tilt to snug the outboard into the rubber V-block, thinking I didn't need to add a tight rubber strap (big mistake!) Couldn't find a Ve-Ve replacement unit anywhere, so I ordered this one made by Extreme Max. Has the same very convenient twist-lock mechanism for attaching to the trailer, but even heavier duty than the Ve-Ve, better made, and with a larger rubber V-block that holds my motor more securely. The supplied rubber strap was too long for my small 9.9 HP motor so I ordered a pack of 9" straps here on Amazon that fit snugly. Overall very happy with this product.

In searching for a transom saver, I kept overlooking the Extreme Max. The price seemed low, and I thought it had to be cheap, so I purchased another brand for more money that was aluminum and labeled as Extra Heavy Duty. I figured the aluminum would not corrode, etc. and the fact it was "heavy duty" it would be the one to get. Let's just say that in my opinion it was not entirely heavy duty and very flimsy. There was no way I was going to trust it. I ended up returning it and ordering the Extreme Max and wow, this thing is Extra Heavy Duty, well made and simple. If you're in the market for a transom saver, save yourself some time and buy this one and save half the money over the other brands.

Transom saver is built solid looks like it should hold up for a good long time (just jinxed it)...

This thing is way overbuilt and very heavy as a result. If you want a support that will last 3 lifetimes , this is your choise.

Quality product! This is a much heavier and sturdier than the one I'm replacing. Works perfectly with my 40 HP Honda on a Lowe fishing boat.

It’s actually really nice, someone stole our other one we had when we were out fishing “FN thieves” but this one is surprisingly great quality and adjustable and a good price!

I’ve tried many transom savers and this one is by far the most heavy duty I’ve tried, will definitely buy again but this seems like it will last a very long time.

Product works as it should, I had to cut a few inches off the pipe because my boat trailer is a little longer than my boat. Works great oncei did that.Have not driven down the road with it yet but I can't see there being a issue.

Works well and stopped any movement of the outboard on the transom with my Suzuki 9.9. The adjustability of the length is limited and i did have to make a small modification.Overall i am happy and works really well.
