It's big, but lovely ...even after a year of daily use. So I bought another one.
I'll get the cons out of the way. 1. Size: This thing is pretty big. Effectively you'll need a square foot of desk space, and it stands (I'm guesstimating here) about 14" high. This is a mild con. 2. Confused co-workers. People have to know what it is, and they rarely guess that it's a fan. Mostly they think it's a camera of some sort, or some sort of robot. If you're easily annoyed at curious people, don't fret- I get asked maybe once a month. This is a mild con. 3. Cost. At 100 bones, it's not cheap, but it's not a cheap product. It's quality. In fact, this barely registers as a con, as I've purchased several "Silent" desktop fans that start squeaking within 2 weeks or right out of the box, and they also stop working properly after several months. I had one completely die. They were modestly priced- around $20- the cheapest at $12 was usb powered, and was a total heap. The PureFlow runs the same as it did over a year ago when I got it. I love it so much that I got one for my desk at home, and considering another for my bedside table. 4. Beeps: I wish I could silence the remote control beep or when I turn it on/off. A coworker looks up every time. This is a mild con, but probably the most significant, which underscores how unimportant the cons are. PROS: By the cons, you can see that this really is a great buy in my opinion. I rarely use the oscillating option, and just forget that it's on until I get a bit overheated or the air feels stagnant. So... 1. Silent 2. Modern/Slick look 3. Works (both of them) exactly as expected- timer/oscillates/powerful to soft air. 4. Battery (remote control) that it came with still works great even after a year 5. Safe. Nobody is in danger of losing a finger. I don't use it over a tub of water or anything, so I'm not claiming it's incapable of harm, but it's not gonna tip and knock anything over. 6. Smooth, cool breeze. I guess that's point 3 again. Just reiterating what an enjoyable breeze it kicks out with barely perceptible noise- just sounds like moving air. 7. Value: I love it. Again, it's not cheap, but it'll last, and it does what is expected of it. At the end of the day it's a fan, sure, but it's one that you don't have to fret over like the "affordable" ones. This is worth 20 of them, easy. If you need to count on years of quiet comfort on a fan you can enjoy when you want and forget is on when that's necessary, and no annoying your coworkers, then buy it and love it.

Excellent, quiet fan
Excellent fan. I purchased this because I wanted a powerful fan that isn't loud. It works really well, is decently powerfully while staying pretty quite! The remote controll is super handy. I was so pleased with this purchase I was showing it off to my mom, who ended up buying one too! I bought another for a different room. I have had these 2 for over a year without any issues and I just purchased a 3rd for another room. This fan is excellent. You can find cheaper fans but if you want really good fan that isn't too loud, I recommend this one. I wish it had the ability to point downward- it has a good upward range of tilt but it only points streight or up, not down.

Good air output. Not really bladeless or super-quiet though.
The pureFlow QT7 hides the fan blades inside it. It blows a lot of air using essentially the venturi effect; it pushes a bit of air fast, which drags other air with it. Kind of cool. It also allows for a neat shape. The Good: Fashionable. It looks really neat, like something out of Space: 1999. (Does that make it retro-futuristic?) It's reasonably quiet. But not really very quiet. It can move a good amount of air. But at the higher settings, very noisily. The blades are hidden. It's extremely adjustable. You can point it at the ceiling. That's HUGE, as it lets you move the entire room's air around. The remote works. The Bad: Ummm... ummm.... The light on it is overly bright. I taped a business card onto it. Flip the card up to use the front controls. There are 12 fan settings, but it only cycles up. To go from 6 to 5, you have to press "+" eleven times. We're quite happy with this fan.

SURPRISINGLY powerful, incredibly quiet fan! Definitely worth every penny!
Just picked up two of these - they got here QUICK! I am super impressed with these fans, too! I've had bladeless fans in the past (including fans from Dyson) but never have I had one which was a) so quiet, and b) so powerful. It has 12 different speed settings, from a gentle breeze all the way to small hurricane. It came with a little remote control which works perfectly so I can sit at my desk and control the fan which is on the other side of the room. My office is rather stuffy, so this really really helps. Another unexpected bonus is the digital readout on top of the base - I have a small wine chiller that I also got on Amazon and the blue lights on the digital display of the fan match the blue lights in the chiller to a "T". One of the BEST features is also part of the reason I get bladeless fans... I have little kids in my office from time to time and I worry about their little fingers, but since this fan is BLADELESS there is no chance of injury. It's a little bigger than I expected, too - about the size of a bowling ball. It's lightweight, though, so you don't have to worry about that. Overall I am more than happy with my purchase and I will be recommending this brand / model to anyone who asks! Edit - I just realized I could also tilt the fan to aim it higher or lower as well! Bonus!!! :D

Love this Fan!
We've only had this product for a short time; but so far are very pleased ! There are no blades, so no worries for little fingers or pets. The fan produces a nice strong airflow while remaining amazingly quiet. The remote is very handy (no having to get out of bed to adjust the airspeed or turning the oscillator on/off if you use the fan at night). It also provides an automated shut-off feature, which is very helpful should you be prone to forgetting to shut the fan off manually before leaving the house as we sometimes did with our old fan. The only drawback we're not overjoyed with is the loud beep that the fan emits when activated and the bright blue digitized numbers on the base. we've attempted to cover the digital screen so the bright glow wouldn't interrupt our sleep; but the remote will not work if the screen is covered. If you're using in a kids' room I'm sure they'd love the extra blue glow however. Overall...very very pleased and highly recommend!

It’s more than worth the purchase for me.
Pros - 1) Looks like something out of Wall-E 2) Super quiet 3) Not sure if the CFM (how much air is moved) but feels powerful enough 4) Doesn’t feel cheaply made 5) Perfect for people trying to offset ambient room temperature from external heat sources like a computer but need very little noise interference (i.e. working from home where a computer heats your room) 6) delivers smooth air that isn’t choppy like typical fans with exposed blades 7) oscillate feature has wide range of motion 9) doesn’t take up very much space. I doubt people would have this on a desk in front of them, but it’s not overly large. 10) settings can be changed on the unit and from the remote. Cons - It has a high buy in price. It’s a fan, it’s $99. This fan is purpose built for more than just “I need a fan for this room”.

Weak fan at max level and not all that quiet.
At highest level it is not as strong as $30 fan that is much smaller that I bought it to replace. Barley quieter. Actually louder than other fan turned down to a level that still stronger than this fan at max level.

Looks like a giant camera spying on you but it's Great as a Fan
Out of the box, I was not too thrilled with the look and feel of this bladeless fan. Not a fan of the R2D2 look but it has grown on me since. It felt somewhat cheap and wobbly for the price but found it was wobbly on the bottom because it's a turn table for when the fan oscillates. Which it does very well. I only wish you could adjust how much it oscillates. It's a fixed 90 Degrees but it's what I'd typically use anyway. I was also miffed that it didn't have a stand. But I found that it moves vertically from pointing straight ahead to pointing at the sealing if you need it to. So you don't really need a stand but it works better to set in on a table if you want to fan higher areas. At the highest setting the fan is actually fairly loud and somewhat powerful but at the lowest setting it is soothing and drastically quieter. I love this fan on the lowest setting sitting in my office chair blowing a gentle breeze in my face. Very calming and feels natural. So I'd say one star off just for the fact that it's somewhat ugly looking (unless you dig the Futurama look) but as a fan it is top notch. Which I guess is the most important reason to have it in the first place. ;)
