Cycra Probend CRM for 1-1/8" Handlebar White

I have been running this for awhile. They have to some pretty descent hits and have held up good. They do bend a little easier than some other brands but for the money these are a great choice.

Fit like a charm, rock solid after multiple impacts and they saved my hands from disaster!! Sure, they protect my levers and bars but I love my hands even more. No reason to skimp and save $20-$30 bucks on the cheaper versions. These are built to last and will likely stick with me through several future bikes. You won't be disappointed.

Easy to install and seem to be plenty strong. Have not gone down really hard yet, But they have shrugged off minor spills and still look new.The master cylinders on your bike cost twice as much as these protectors and would be a bigger hassle to put on. Good insurance for the money to me!

Broke the guard on my first ride. The center mount keep your bars clear and look better but make a bar pad almost impossible. Had to do some work to make the clutch side fit. For what these cost, they should be easier to install and more universal. Just installing on renthal RC bars.

Less than the price of a new perch and lever. Plus they keep brush splinters out of your fingers.

They look good and fit nicely. I installed these Cycra Probend hand guards onto a Kevin Windham edition Protaper EVO 1 1/8" fat bar. One surprise is that your the Protaper bar pad I bought does not fit because the the Cycra mounting clamps closest to the handlebar mounts interfere with the bar pad big time.Here's the biggest con with these Cycra Probend hand guards: They give you self-threading screws to mount all the plastic bits onto the guards. There are 10 screws in all that have to be driven in, but that's a monumental task. Cycra drills the holes, but they should also tap them and give you proper machine screws to mount your plastic bit. I got a blister the size of a quarter on my palm trying to drive home the screws with a screwdriver, and in the end I couldn't do it. The Phillips heads started to strip before the screws were fully tightened. And if you don't tighten them well, the washers that come with the screws rattle and make an awful racket.I do recommend these hand guards, but be prepared to have a tap and die handy, and you'll be going down to the hardware store to buy new machine thread screws. I was really disappointed with all the trouble it took to properly apply the plastic bits to the guards. Cycra, I'm looking at you.
