Retro Fighters Brawler64 Wireless Edition N64 Controller - Nintendo 64 - Limited Edition Extreme Green

This controller actually pulled me back into playing my Nintendo 64 again! I love the system, but always hated how short the controller cables were on the original controllers. When I saw an ad for these controllers and I found out they were wireless, yet still capable of supporting a memory pack, I knew I had to try one. I picked the red one to match my watermelon red console, and it looks like an exact match in color! The multiple color options immediately caught my eye, especially the translucent look of the colorful ones. As a 90s kid that played N64 with a translucent Atomic Purple controller, this was like a blast from the past with a modern twist! I was also excited about the controller being rechargeable, and having about 10 hours of play time per each full charge. I haven’t timed my play time since I’ve last charged the controller, but it has definitely lasted a few hours so far! The buttons are responsive, and I love the ergonomic “modern” feel the controller has in your hands. I haven’t noticed any lagging in the games I’ve been playing, and I like the playability with the joystick on this controller as opposed to the original Nintendo controller. I think eventually I’ll pick up another one of these controllers for multiplayer games, because the blue/teal option is really catching my eye, too. Overall, I’m very impressed that Retro Fighters was able to create a fully-functional, wireless controller for a retro system like the N64. Now I’m hoping that eventually they’ll release a wireless version of their “StrikerDC” controller for Dreamcast!

Super comfortable, long battery life. I don’t personally notice any latency either. The dongle DOES fit very (maybe too) snug in the console

Works great, very low latency, and feels great to hold. Only complaint would be that I haven't been able to use multiple on the same console at the same time.

The Brawler 64 is the n64 controller to have. Even if this controller was wired I would get this over the original as it feels much better in hand. The arrangement of the stick and buttons is perfect, much more inline with modern controllers while still feeling authentic in all the right ways. The largest improvements have to be the analog stick and the C buttons. The analog stick is modernized just enough to feel right, much easier to pull of precise movements over the original. The placement and feel of the C buttons is more natural. The duplication of the Z triggers is a smart move as it gives the controller a balanced feeling that the original lacks. I would have loved a way to plug in rumble or if it had been built in, however that's a very minor. I just hope we get a version with rumble down the line.

Let me just start by saying Retro Fighters for me has been a Game Changer!!! Their controllers are some of the best on the market at a reasonable price. My favorites so far are the GameCube BattlerGC Pro & the Dreamcast StrikerDC Wireless. They're the best in terms of overall quality. The Brawler64 Wireless controller isn't too far behind though. It is has some vast improvements over the original N64 controller in my opinion. The controller gives you all the quality of life improvements, and changes the outdated clunky retro feel to a more simplified modern style. The buttons are smooth and also responsive with hardly any delay inputs. The ergonomics are wonderful when gaming over long periods of time making the controller an absolute no brainer for me to own. Now, here comes the negatives. While everything about the controller is amazing in all, there are a few issues when it comes the dongles. The biggest issue seems to be that the dongle likes to disattach itself from the controller socket whenever removing it from the console controller port. However, this is an easy fix with some plastic glue, but unfortunately that's not all. The dongle also tends to not sit upright in the controller port because of the weight of the memory card. So, I recommend buying a 3D printed dongle support brace to correct this issue. With those issues in mind, the negatives doesn't hold the Brawler64 back some from being a fantastic controller, and it shouldn't detour you from buying it because amongst it's competition I would still say the Brawler64 is an excellent choice when it comes to terms of price, functionality, and quality.

The Controller is awesome it works right away

Love this N64 controller best Wireless N64 controller ive ever had and it works perfect the buttons are really responsive and awesome the analog stick works amazing and moves you really great in mario kart 64 and the battery life lasts really good and it doesnt lose connection and its an overall great controller for Nintendo 64 one thing i wish though is that it could work with a rumble pack or that they could make a Wireless N64 controller that works with the rumble pack i dont care much about the tranfer pack since that was just mainly for Pokémon stadium but when certain games like a bugs life requires the rumble pack for certain futures and stuff or certain games require the rumble pack it makes it kind of difficult when the controller isnt compatible with the rumble pack because that means in order to use those futures or requirements you have to basically switch to an original controller or a controller compatible with the rumble pack if it was built into the wireless controller to be compatible with the rumble packs and all then it would be alot better

This is my favorite controller for the Nintendo 64. The wireless feature is very convenient. No more untangling and tripping over cords. Very comfortable in the hand. I bought a red one in late 2021. Just this month (Oct 2023) one of the trigger buttons began to fail by not reading inputs. Banjo would randomly crouch and stand up when holding the trigger down for example. Talon trot was impossible. Retro Fighters was willing to replace the defective unit which I really appreciate. Buy this controller. Very recommendable and very hard to beat with a company that stands by their products.

La verdad lo compré como un regalo a una persona que tenía mascotas, y siempre era un peligro jugar con los cables de los controles en la sala, este mando es la solución definitiva a jugar sin el temor de tropezarte con tanto cable, el color es mejor cuando lo tienes en frente de tí que al qué está en las fotos, el joystick es muy responsivo y muy suave, NO es como los sticks que venden de tipo Game Cube qué tienen un movimiento muy tosco al manejar plataformas. Me sorprendió para bien. Una compra muy recomendada.

I am so pleased not just with the performance for competitive games like Smash Bros (which require precise inputs), but also with the incredibly beautiful appearance, which is a throwback to the era of the 64!

No more either sitting on a bean bag or bringing the n64 into the middle of the room to accommodate the original controllers relatively short cable. Amazing product.
