It does everything it says and works great. Set up took a few minutes to figure out as the included directions are minimal. The app is bare bones, but once you figure out out, it's fine. One I set up the day cam i was set. It records automatically and I can access the app if I need to take still shot pictures. Considering how much various dash cans are--- this one is a deal.----------Update September 2017I had a close call on the way to work and wanted to download the incident. The interface is confusing and they're are no detailed online instructions. When I emailed their contact email it was returned non-deliverable.When I could figure it out, it wouldnt download. It's not worth the hassle... Find a day cam with a well put together app.

UPDATE: 4/12/18IT WORKED GREAT FOR 4 MONTHS. And it may still be working but they updated the 168 DVR software and now I can no longer connect to the cameras going to take it down to one star until this is fixed----------------------------------------------------------------------------Got this product and set it up today. When I first plugged it in no light or anything. After a bit of tinkering I pushed the small reset button next to the SD slot and it came up. And I was able to connect and configure. I could not get it to record and it took me some time to figure out it was not going to work with the 32gb SanDisk microSD card, even after formatting. When I put the 16gb card it came with in, it started recording. This item does not have/record audio. And I knocked a star for that, as audio would be nice, almost necessary.

Does not detect Micro SD Card Vendor says keep it plugged in and it's a bad card even though the card works fine on other devices. Screen keep turning off battery, and it wont stay charged very disappointed. Every time I unplugged it it lost all the settings that I just setup. Of course you cannot record anything because of the SD card issue. So basically you have a mini device that shows you what you can see out the window yourself.This car dash cam is the worst product on Amazon.

I tried this camera today, maybe I got a bad unit but the picture has a lot of noise in it, and is of a poor quality, definitely not 1080p.The sounds is useless, Wi-Fi took forever to load, maybe on the 6th try.Also an fyi to dash cam buyers, sometimes the wi-fi signal from the camera blocks the key less entry antenna, making it hard to get in to the car. would be good to have an option where you can turn off the wi fi

The button to start/stop video does not react to being pushed, so you'll never really know when you are recording or stopping a recording. When you are recording however, you may leave it powered all day and get about 3 one-minute videos, or maybe 50 one-minute videos, and sometimes zero videos, whatever the device feels like doing that day. Worst of all, the return instructions tell me to pay postage to ship it back to China. I do feel like I have to give credit for effort; the design is low profile and very practical. The adjustable nature of it means you can put it at any angle you want and easily take it with you. Other companies don’t seem to care about that.

It is small and out of the way on the windshield. It uses adhesive to stick to the windshield so it cannot be moved. You must have wifi on a phone to use it however if you park and turn off your car in a parking lot it will not reconnect when you start up again. There may be a fix for this, it may be me, but I couldn't fix it so I put it in my truck I hardly ever drive.

I have had this camera for a little over a week now. First let me state that I paid full price for this item and I am not affiliated with TekBow in anyway.After being pulled over one night I really wish I had a dash cam to prove my innocence regarding a ticket. Seeing as some of the cameras for sale were too large for my liking or way out of my price range (since I had to pay for a large ticket) I decided to buy this one. $45 with two day shipping is a steal in my opinion.Size - This camera is perfect size for my windshield; fits right behind my rearview camera so I can't see it. The 3M sticky tape is firmly stuck to the glass (just make sure you level it out before you firmly place it where you want it.) It is lightweight and the option of turning the camera a full turn is nice so you can record passengers if you are a driver for Uber or Lyft.Camera Quality - It is 1080p with 30fps (although it does lose some quality of picture at higher speeds on the highway. During the day the camera captures images fairly well at night it captures images decently. It is not great, but for $45 it is decent in low light.Manual - The manual that comes with the camera is terrible, and I mean terrible. It is confusing and does not display the features of the camera well enough for people who may or may not understand tech talk. For those who have purchased this the app is available for download on the Apple App Store (I cannot confirm the Android Store) If you want to really learn how to use it, play around with it. I really wish the manual was written better and had picture diagrams to help people learn how to use the device.The App - The app is incredibly basic. So far, from my understanding, it needs to be connected to the app in order for it to record. The connection process is simple. Connect via wifi and type in your password. You can change the name of your device in the app. You can download each video individually to your device it's connected to.It feels cheaply made. The plastic used looks cheap and it is probably cheap to produce.I really wish the packaging was better, it just came in a basic white box with plastic bags. It does not offer much protection to potential shipping damage.The WiFi does connect rather quickly. It is a simple click on the button on top of the camera.I give this three stars because it is just an average car dash camera. There is nothing special about this device. It does the job it's intended to be used for. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a decent camera for their car. I will be purchasing a different camera when I have enough money to get an amazing one.

piece of crap just got it today. Takes forever to connect, connection drops. Instruction manual trash no battery backup. only works when plugged in, you can't view the camera remotely via Wi-Fi. Id say this item should be priced at 9.99 @ Family Dollar. Return!
