Works, but not practically usable.
Because this pointer has no case, no feet, and is just a bare PCB it isn't really usable as an input device. The mouse buttons are also not practically usable due to their size. It kind of feels like a prototype or engineering sample kind of device -- not for real use, just to verify functionality. That said I bought this for harvesting the track point module from the main PCB (it provides a PS/2 interface that the chip on the base board converts to USB HID) so it's fine for that purpose.

Buggy, drifting hardware with no documentation keeps getting dropped by OS
For what they charge for this, had it worked, it would have been worth it to me to avoid busting out the multitester and pulling an eraser mouse from an old laptop and hooking up to an Arduino board to make a homemade trackpoint mouse.Had it worked, that is.On a grounded isolated test platform with a fully-patched OS, the mouse immediately drifted, and the OS immediately started dropping it and picking it back up in rapid succession. So the default mouse driver doesn't run it. No documentation was provided whatsoever, about an alternate driver or anything else, and the OS doesn't recommend an alternate driver either.Straight back it goes -- don't waste your time.
