32 DUMAS 4" French Paring Knife, Fully Forged, French Stainless Steel, Made In France by Rousselon Dumas Sabatier

I bought this to replace a sabatier knife that fell apart after 40 years of use. This knife is exactly like my old knife, very sharp, and just the right size for many kitchen tasks. Why pay more for other knives?

This is an absolutely beautiful knife! It came very sharp as you can see in my video. The handle feels wonderful in the hand and it has a nice heft to it without being overly heavy. 10 out 10 would recommend and will probably buy more knives from them in the future!

Good solid construction (full tang), decent age retention for the stainless steel, easily re-sharpened, thin blade, great for slicing. For EU-made knife (France) this set is a steal. The block has magnetized slots so that knives can be arranged in the way you like (as opposed to having unique slots for each individual blade). A minor point: comes in a plain white box, not the most visually gifty packaging.

What I thought when I received this knife was that I would have it for years. I care for my cutlery well. But this parting knife developed a divot out of the sharp-edge of the tip soon after I received it. It almost seems like a manufacturing glaw occurred. I would not purchase this brand again.
