Cutest Fan Ever! Why I Bought 3 Vornado VFAN Minis | Honest Review
I absolutely love the Vornado VFAN Mini! It’s so cute and stylish that I ended up buying three — one for each room (pictures enclosed). Its vintage-inspired aesthetic makes it a perfect addition to any desk, bedroom, office, or living room, adding a charming touch wherever it sits. Despite its compact size, it circulates air wonderfully while staying whisper-quiet, making it ideal for both work and sleep environments. On top of that, it feels incredibly sturdy and well-made, a true testament to its high quality. I couldn’t recommend it more if you’re looking for something that’s both beautiful and effective.

These fans run strong, order one size smaller than you normally would
Very powerful for its size and current draw, which is a good thing as I normally have issues with fans this size being inadequate. For the first time in this barren wasteland of a scorching hot desert I call home, I'm using a fan setting other than "max." Don't get me wrong, it doesn't have the surface area to move large amounts of air (so don't count on it being an air blower/extractor) but it certainly excels in delivering a focused stream of high velocity air for personal use (read: one person, and directly to the face). So I ended up dimming it to 75% of its low-speed setting which moved enough air and made very little sound (a very slight motor hum if you have 20/20 hearing, which could be user error as my dimmer clearly says "lamps only"). I still would have to knock it down one star on the noise level, as it is much louder than anticipated. Do keep in mind my frame of reference here is a 30" old-school Panasonic pedestal fan that is absolutely silent on low (and extremely effective) but is far too heavy and takes too much space. But when I'm looking the smallest size fan of a long line of options, I assumed quiet meant exactly that. The sound is not a faint "white noise" hum but more along the tone of a distant hair dryer on low. Am I being too picky? That's why I bought this and not a Walmart special for a fraction of the price, which btw, is quieter than this fan too. The front grill was rattling upon delivery (one of the mounting tabs needed to be bent, and they're not easy to bend! So I'm not sure how it missed QA/QC as everything else on the fan is absolutely solid, so I didn't have the heart to rate it any less than 5 on sturdiness and chalk off the rattling grill to my bad luck) so I ended up removing it as I found that it distracted from the clean design of the body which is why I was drawn to the Vornado Mini Classic to begin with. I then sharpied in a white spiral on the fan blade center to complete the aircraft jet engine look (which I couldn't un-see every time I look at the profile of my white colored fan with the front grill off) and of course, so ground personnel unaware of a running fan with no front protection don't get any...err...injuries? At the speed I'm running it at (75% of low speed) you can stop the blades with your fingers without feeling a thing (that or I have no nerve endings on my fingers). Pro-tip: If you're in the unlikely case that you need to make this fan weaker (as there is no smaller size than this in the Classic range, this is the smallest!) you can remove the rear cone-piece that helps duct incoming air to the more efficient areas of the blade (source: user manual) this will make the air-stream diffuse a bit and may knock down the strength of it to your liking. It's worth noting that I use this fan just for airflow in an air conditioned room set to just a hair shy of pneumonia degrees F. All in all, this is a great problem to have, as you can easily choke excess fan performance but you can't overclock it if it's not powerful enough to begin with. And it looks beautiful!

Best Mini Fan I EVER Bought
Great value! I'm always hesitant when fans get too reasonably priced, but I'd pay a lot more for this one. It's very cute. Takes up very little space. Stays exactly where you put it--no traveling. I was so impressed with it I went back and bought 2 more! (Kitchen and bath) It's very quiet. My cats aren't bothered by it. It is all metal so there's no rattling. And, it has some weight to it. So, it's sturdy. Definitely thinking of getting a few more. The color is not a green green. Depending on the light, sometimes it looks colonial blue.

10/10 from a hot sleeper
This is the perfect fan for a side table or desk. It's powerful in the best way. I was having trouble getting hot at night (even with my air at 65) and this has changed the game. It's helped move the air in my room. I put it on the bedside table and it's the perfect size and looks cute and not like an ugly fan is sitting out. It has 2 speeds. I use the high speed but the low speed would work if it were closer to me.

Attractive; noisy; adequate
Pretty simple fan - two speeds and off being the only settings to fiddle with. High speed is more or less ok, but some may find it underpowered in really warm rooms. I would have wanted a higher speed to use on those extra warm days. When you have a fan and you use the highest speed all the times, it makes you wonder if its cooling performance is adequate. It is NOISY, so bear this mind - I use it on a desk where I take online meetings, and I have to turn it off when I am leading or intervening in those meetings. I did not have this problem of noise with a fan I used previously (sadly, I can't use that fan anymore as I my desk space is much smaller now). Its attractive design makes it value for money - if you are into aesthetics; but in the future, I would perhaps buy another option.

Attractive and effective!
I purchased this fan for my bedroom. In the Bay Area, we have a few days during the year that are so hot that we need fans. It blows very effectively, with a slower speed and a stronger speed. It is very portable and heavy for it's size and therefore stable. Also, the vintage green color is nice to look at.

Great fan, nice air flow, noise level could be less
Excellent !! Overall, I purchased this fan for a utility purpose and it works exactly as I'd hoped. The volume of air being moved is impressive on both speeds - high and low. While it's a utility fan that is primarily in the garage and of no concern, I would caution if purchasing for indoor use, on the high speed it is a bit loud compared to other fans. Other than that, great quality and does exactly what I needed it to do - push a large volume of air in one direction.

Looks good, but too noisy on low
Purchased this fan to be a quiet air circulator near the only source of heat in my place. Unfortunately, it has two speeds, and the low speed is what I expected the high would be. It moves more air than I expected for its relatively small size, but it also quite audible (high is almost loud). Its difficult to detect, but I notice that the speed wanders slightly up and down, maybe on a 6 second period or so. I'm not sure why this happens, but I noticed that it happens on the highers speeds of my larger Vornado fan. Despite these annoyances, I still award three stars since the build quality is sufficiently high and the design attractive. I would have preferred a black option. As others have mentioned, this is a darker green that the photos depict. This was great for me and matches the color of nearby houseplants reasonably well. My main point of comparison is the just-larger VFAN Petite Alchemy, which features three speeds instead of two. On that fan, the low is essentially inaudible.

Used Broken Product.
I owned two beautiful Vornado fans back in the States, I was excited to find this... however this fan came in a damaged box (looks like it was returned previously. Upon opening it, it doesn't even look like Vornado... I plugged it in to try it and it is sounds like the motor is broken and within seconds I can smell burning wire that filled my entire living room. Horribly dissapointing.

Beautiful, no plastic, cools me
I am so happy with this little fan! I currently work from home where I have no AC. I debated between buying something cheap and effective but made of plastic, or buying this more expensive but all metal and beautiful fan. I do not regret my choice! It enhances the decor rather than being a 'necessary evil'. And it works great even if it is quite small. There are two fan settings, and most days I put it at the lowest level which is completely silent and enough to cool me off from close by. The highest level makes a small buzzing noise but it doesn't bother me at all. Overall it feels like great quality that should last a long time.

Terrible
Had to return 2 of these now. The first worked for around 15 minutes before dying and the second one didn't work at all. Yes they look nice but a lack of reliability lets these down badly.

Good quality
I'm quite impressed by this little fan, it is sturdy and quiet. I use it on the nightstand beside my bed, it helps with my hot flashes lol. I also like the white noise. It only has 2 settings, but that's enough for me. It also looks classy - I bought the cream colour, it fits in with my room decor. Overall I'm quite pleased so far.
