A bit disappointed
Some buttons must be pressed two or three times before they respond. For a new remote, I would expect all buttons to respond on the first try. Initially, I thought I might not be pressing the buttons adequately, but after noticing this issue, I was careful about how I pressed the buttons. The issue continues.***I must add to this review and change my rating. I would give it a zero if I could. This remote is a piece of junk!! I have had it about a month, and put fresh batteries in it when I received it. Today the remote won’t work. I put fresh batteries in it again, and it STILL WON’T WORK!!! It is a piece of JUNK!!

Saved My Life
This replacement TV remote saved my life!! Not only does the remote control operate the TV, but switches between various sources (DVD, VCR, TV, etc), but also controls audio and streaming services. I was frantic in the few days without a remote when my original one died. Now, on my Samsung Smart TV, I discovered that the On button can be used to move among the various sources, but that's about it. And, thankfully I had a Roku that I could use for Netflix and AcornTV... something I almost didn't buy because Smart TV's have the apps for most (but not all) streaming services. So, I managed to get by... but this remote put me back in complete control again!!

GREAT REMOTE FOR A SMART SAMSUNG TV! MUST POINT TO GENERAL AREA OF SENSOR
GIVEN WE HAD TROUBLE SHOT EVERYTHING TO GET INTO OUR SMART TV HUB! BOTH MY HUSBAND & I HAVE BEEN LUCKY TO NEVER HAD A. REMOTE GO BAD! LOL, GOOD LESSON. THE TV REMOTE IS LIKE ORIGINAL ONE. THE REMOTE I REVIEWS WE READ SAID IT NEEDED DIRECTLY POINTED TO TV TO WORK. WE POINTED TOWARD TV ANYWAY, SO NEW ONE HAS A SLIGHTLY NARROWER SIGNAL BUT WE HAVE FOUND IT TO WORK GREAT! I'D RECOMMEND THIS REMOTE TO ANYBODY REPLACING THEIR SAMSUNG SMART TV REMOTE, OURS IS 65" AND GOING ON 3 YEARS OLD! GO BUY THIS REMOTE! YOU WON'T BE SORRY!

OK For Now
Struggled to get the battery compartment open and we were afraid to close it. Used the lid from the defunct Samsung remote. New remote works OK, but last night it rattled, like something had broken off inside. (It's never been dropped or banged around. The original Samsung remote rattled before it failed after more than 3 years of service.) Other than that, it works just like the original Samsung remote.

Perfect
For whatever reason, my boys consider this a technological device that they can take apart. Thank goodness I found it on Amazon. It is the exact same as the manufacturer supplied remote. It works perfectly. I like the fact that the battery compartment is Not as easy to open as the manufacturer remote so my boys are not always taking the batteries for their other devices.

Got two remotes in a row that the button lights would not stay off
I bought one and sent it back because the keypad lights would only stay off for about 5 seconds and come back on and stay on until you pushed the light button again. Sent it back for a replacement and the replacement does the same thing. I was hoping it there was a simple solution to this but I haven't been able to find it. Everything else on the remote worked fine but I would imagine it would eat batteries if the keypad lights were to constantly stay on. I believe I will return this one also and try one more time to get a good one and after that I'm done.

It works!
It is almost exactly the same as the original remote for the Samsung Smart TV that I own. The only difference I found is the top has a small eye for locating the sensor and the original has a plastic cover over the eye. It was priced right and works perfectly. Original remote on the right in the photo, Aurabeam on the left.

Good affordable replacement. A bit slower than original, but does work.
This device can replace the original remote control. You need to point it to the lower right corner of the TV. You also need to slow down when pressing the buttons because it takes about a second or so for the TV to respond to the command. I likely would repurchase, however I would reconsider buying the OEM version, as it did work better.
