Horses: Trotting! Prancing! Racing!

Great illustrations. Two year old nephew enjoyed listening to book book

I bought this book to give to my granddaughter because her grandfather and uncle are into harness racing. The pictures and text of what it is like to care for a horse and what horses do all day are very engaging and depict what she sees on their farm. There are many pictures and descriptions about what different types of horses do, too; herding cows, trotting in parades, dancing in a circus, racing, and taking children for a ride, etc. The drawings are colorful and make this book very engaging for a young child. I will buy a second copy to keep at my house, so I can read it to her at my house too. The only thing I would change is to have a picture of a horse in a harness race. Love this book!

Perfect book for both boys and girls. The book shows both genders riding and shows all of the jobs horses can do all within a uber cute story that's perfect for toddlers attention spans and great for when they start reading on their own. I was so pleasantly surprised how perfect this book was for my nephew. I took a risk and it certainly paid off!!!!

My little ones love this rhyming book about horses. The illustrations are cute! My horse lover especially enjoyed it. And it had educational elements too.

I enjoyed the rhyming scheme while learning about all the duties of horses everywhere. I recommend this fun children's story.

Large Book. Solid hardcover and thick pages. Great colors and illustrations. Hard to find many horse books appropriate for toddlers and this one it exactly that. Perfect for any little horse lover.

This is a lovely book for little ones who are beginning to like horses and everything about them. My grand daughter - 3 and a half - has enjoyed it very much. Fun for preschoolers and kindergarten age. I like the illustrations.

This is another book I purchased for a Literacy Program I have for children. This will be a fun book to read to the kids! It spurs their imagination of horses playing and having fun!

My daughter is almost 3 years old and she is very much into horses, so this was a must get and read. It was totally worth it, since she absolutely loves it. Awesome rhymes and very sweet illustrations.
