Absolute Surrender

Andrew Murray's writings cut straight through our religion and to the heart.Are living a life of absolute dependence in GOD? Minute by minute? Hour by hour? Day by day?Is this book perfect? No.But it is my belief that this book ought to be a close companion to Bible study and highly recommended reading for new believers.

Andrew Murray’s books are great. You can never go wrong by reading his books. They are so helpful.

Clarifies how surrendering to Jesus is not sad thing. How do? Because as you surrender and entrust all to him, he gives back so much more in the fruit of the Spirit, peace, joy and the glory of His presence.

Andrew Murray lived and died 100+ years ago yet there are few Christian authors who deal with important Christian topics with as much knowledge, wisdom and empathy as Murray. Simply put, this book points the believer to the single most important trait necessary to walk in Christ and to rise above. I heartily recommend to the one who is wondering why their Christian life seems to be missing something.

This book has so many passages that you have to go back and revisit time and time again because they speak to your faith and your day to day life as someone with Christian faith who wants to keep Jesus present in their lives. I've taken so much knowledge about the holy spirit and how to truly surrender from this book.

When I was born again, I knew little to nothing about Christianity. Someone put an Andrew Murray book in my hands during the first six months of my walk. For the next ten years I was never without one of his writings daily. As the pastor of a rural community in South Africa where many of his congregants could not always make it to services, he wrote letters to them which were circulated through the congregation. This book, as are all of his, are those letters. More than anyone else, this man fathered me in the faith. He teaches the on every aspect of the faith from prayer to healing to humility the same way. He starts in Genesis and walks you through the scriptures with one unwavering, overriding message...all that the Lord is in your life and all you are in Him is found only in absolute surrender. So, it follows, if you want to find out if this man can minister to you...this is the very best text to start reading his works as it is dedicated to that core belief.

Andrew Murray 19th century author from So Africa is on of my faves and this book started it all.Excellent source on how to deny yourself pick up you cross and follow Me.It is at a men’s conference and King James speak.

To keep it short, I will say that God, through Andrew Murray's books, has brought me in to the most beautiful and personal place. He's really taken me and shown me who He REALY is, and that in turn has made me want to know Him even more intimately. The first book I ever read of Andrew Murray's was "Abide in Christ", and it changed my life forever. God has continued to call me in deeper, and has given me such a burning passion and closeness with Himself that I didn't know was posssible to have.I pray that God's Spirit would open the eyes of your heart and make every word a living reality in your life. That you would know Him, in the truest sense of the word, and that He would captivate you by His ferocious Love. May He bring you to the sweet surrender of heart and life, the beauty of His holiness (for it is surely yours to have), and Love everlasting. Grace to you and peace from Christ above. The book title caught my attention. This book has my "Thumb Up" from the start till the end. It has completely widen my understanding, not only acquire knowledge of surrendering it all to the King of kings, but how simple to actually just SURRENDER my being onto His presence. Recommended for all believers of Christ Jesus, to connect and feel the power of enablement touching your heart.

Oh wow! This book will bring you to your knees. It's been life changing for me and opened me up to new possibilities in Christ.
