Works perfectly for what I wanted
I am gonna rate this product at a 5 star. The price is right for what I paid for this. Yes its a thin blackout curtain, super easy to install. And yes they help block put the light and helps keep my room cooler. They are a temporary fix and that's all I was needing. Those who rated this product with only a few stars.. tell me what was you expecting for this price? You want thicker and a precise fitting curtain they will cost you more then the $13 dollars...

Easy to install and works perfect!
The media could not be loaded. ------ why i was looking for this product-----I live on campus in an apartment right by some frat and sorority houses. I underestimated how loud they would get on the weekends and even the middle of the week. I thought I'd get a head start before they all come back from winter break to make some changes to avoid some of their nuisances; one of these being the lights. The street lights are on anyway, but when they party the lights from their buildings and leds shine into my window. I live in the basement part of my complex so my window is high up and there's really no way to completey block the light. The cops also come very often because of underage drinking, noise, or just general problems that go on during their parties. So I also have to deal with the bright cop lights .---- why this?-----I saw this product during my search for a curtain. Im not allowed to drill holes or even use adhesive or tape here, but we use command strips anyway. I was going to get adhesive curtain rod holders, a curtain, and a rod, but there's not much space or flat area to place it on my windows. It's also above my bed and I didn't want to get wacked in the head if it happened to fall. This product looked easy to place, was affordable, and looked like an actual black out curtain.---- application----It was super easy to install. I didn't have fabric scissors but my regular cheap scissors worked fine to cut this. My scissors glided smoothly during the cuts.I will note that I didn't notice one of the rods was bigger than the others, so I taped two together. I was about to tape the 3rd when i realized it just slides in. So i took the tape off and just slid the two smaller ones into the bigger one.The velcro was very easy to install and sticks great! I was worried it wouldnt stick well on my window because 1) the wall is cold from the snow, and 2) there's no flat space. It wasn't a problem and the curtain adhered just fine.----- use -----The clips work perfectly for holding the curtain when you roll it up.The light is completely blacked out. I included a video to compare my two windows.I only bought 1 to test it but now that I know what a great product it is, I'll be ordering a 2nd one for my other window. I got this one on sale for $13 but it was originally $19. Either way, the value matches the price, and its a great solution for anyone looking for a cheap but quality fix to light blockage.

Good for the price
We have a newborn baby and needed the room to be much darker despite already having black out curtains. These were a quick and cost-saving solution for us (we only needed two). Didn’t completely blackout the room but I think that had more to do with the way we trimmed down the material if I’m being honest lol First photo shows the window without the product installed and the second shows the window with the product and almost no light shining through.

Does not come in the exact size…you must cut and assemble on your own.
It blacks out the room well, the material is thinner than expected and the Velcro is nice. I thought the size ordered would be exactly what I needed, but it is not. Instead, it is a large piece of fabric that can be cut to the size you want…it must be cut straight or it won’t sit right in the window, that is difficult and time consuming. The assembly is not as easy as it looks…it was nice they provided two clips for rolling, which has to be done manually each time, but if you have blinds, it does push the blinds up and depending on window type cannot be centered. Some sort of Velcro hanging from both sides would have been nicer…last note, you have to assembly the acrylic rod that goes inside the bottom edge. It requires two sizes of rods and the sizes does affect the roll up process and the curtain hangs crooked….all in all…works to black out the room and Velcro hang up is simple but over all design and assembly is not as expected and requires a lot of work.

They work.
For the money they are great. The Velcro isn’t the greatest I ended up using thumb tacks to hold mine up but definitely blacks things out.

Effective solution at cheap price but not bougie
This product is basically like buying some black fabric, cutting it to size and taping it up with some double back tape and then having a handy way to roll the fabric up. It’s very basic and simple and works well for people who have window treatments and need something really simple. Having said that It’s definitely not high-end and not 100% perfect but it’s a great price for a simple solution.

Good idea, Velcro needs work
I started a 3rd shift job and knew I needed something with a little more "oomph" than our small collection of blackout curtains. We aren't allowed to put things in the walls, so I figured with the adhesive Velcro we could use a razor on the window if we needed to.The blackout capability of these are fantastic, so much better than regular blackout curtains. My only complaint with the actual curtains is that it's about 6 inches shorter than our patio doors, but the pre installed shades help significantly with that. I'm guessing most people are getting these for an actual window, not a sliding patio door. I will say that they are the perfect width for the doors. As mentioned in previous reviews, the Velcro sucks. It seems like it works when you put it up because it's super sticky, but it randomly will detach from the window. Even using the strip to cover the whole top of the window it falls. At this point it's manageable, as it's about 2x per week across the whole window, but if it gets more often I may just resort to thumbtacks and deal with the landlord when the time comes.
