This toy is ideal as it packs up into itself and is ideal if travelling to a relative as you can build many tracks and only need this one toy. My son has spent hours playing with this and love all things hot wheels. Great quality and easy to build.

Firstly the negative. This was ordered as a Christmas present from amazon. Unfortunately, rather than box the item the warehouse simply stuck a delivery note to the item. This led to a number of issues; firstly the fact that the label obviously doesn't peel off leaving an awful mess of the actual toy... not great when it's supposed to be coming from Santa! Secondly, because it wasn't boxed the cardboard sleeve was ripped and damaged in two places where it had them been sellotaped together. This meant the aesthetic quality of the gift had been ruined.Considering the actual product as a toy, it is an imaginative track that has a number of different layouts without needing any loose parts that could get lost as it is completely self-contained within the box. My son has spent a lot of Christmas day racing various cars and coming up with competitions using the different formations.The set up is straightforward and moving from one layout to the next is easily done with handy images attached to the track itself for reference - no need to keep hold of an instruction sheet

My 6 year old lives this, races with his 8 year old sister. Hours of fun with different track setups and the best part for me as mum is that it all folds away for easy storage unlike other sets that we have had

So, in gravity drop mode it's rare any cars (official HW including the one that comes with the set) will make it around the loop - usually the cars just come off the track.In drag mode the launchers are laughably bad - smack the lever and the cars fly out of the launches and through the air, it's near impossible to keep them on the track if you want to get anywhere enough speed to make complete the loop or make the end of the track.The finish gate works well if any cars make it the finish, it uses elastic bands to allow the slightest tap to ping the number of the track of winning car was on into the viewing window.So… is it terrible? Yes. But… I would still recommend it if you are looking for some HW plastic track based fun - it's fun to try all your cars and try to find some that actually manage to do the track. If your plan is to competitively race with your kids (or them in their own) then you are out of luck. But hurling metal cars around the room is still a lot of fun.

My kid always prefers the hotwheels. Best study cars and tracks.
