The Pro-Slavery Democrats Exposed
Our country is still so young. Soon to 250 years old. A very short time really. Yet we are in jeopardy. The Democrat party, the party of slavery before, during and after the Civil war claims to be the champion of Blacks and other people of color is a true falsehood. 850,000 people, mostly young men, not including the wounded fought and died to end slavery. What other country in the history of humankind, designed by our founding fathers that All Men and Women are created equal fought to establish that founding principle? Are we perfect in accomplishing that goal. No. It’s not an easy task. And we are not perfect. But to say as the Democrats express over and over that we are a racist Country is wrong and does nothing to bring people together. In fact they are the racist, always dividing the people of this wonderful Country into believing there is something wrong with them. The truth is the American People despite some, which permeate all societies past and present, are a kind people most all of the 370 million of us.

Excellent Read
Enjoyed the entire book. Informative, well written, and unbiased account. I liked that u not only read the events but u get pictures of the characters and learn facts about them that bring out the human element. It was an emotionally charged war on both sides. Highly recommend.

Interesting
Lots of info I had not read before, but in three different books the said that Lincoln had lived 3days after being shot. He was kept alive by a military medical inturn, by pu!ling his finger out of the wound to relieve presure.

Civil War Clarified
When we look at the history of our country, we realize that we are fallen human beings living in a fallen world as the HOLY SCRIPTURES testify. In our country (America) we forget that our forefathers had strong beliefs in our Creator and based our Constitution on HIS Word. As we look back we see those on both sides that hated slavery (which wasn’t like Biblical slavery) and those that promoted it. We forget that some hated it but fought for it because of where they lived. It’s sinful that those who called upon the one TRUE GOD, didn’t do better proclaiming the TRUTH of the HOLY SCRIPTURES because in the first three chapters of Genesis we see that we’re all created in GOD’s image. It’s also a shame that they didn’t teach the truth of Acts 17:26, which plainly shows there’s only one race, but different ethnicities. Maybe if the church (GOD’s people) had proclaimed the truth, the slavery would have ended as in England and we’d had no war!

Entertaining, but not necessarily accurate.
While entertaining and informative, it tends toward the sensational with exaggerations and outright errors.General Ewell was instructed to attack Culp's Hill not 'Cemetary Hill, (which doesn't exist) if 'practicable' not 'practical' as stated. Surprising that such a famous quote would be incorrect. The author describes Lee at Gettysburg as 'arrogant', yet later in the book reveals that by this time Lee was a sick man who had suffered multiple heart attacks and attempted to resign the month after this battle. It also fails to mention that had George Custer not stopped the Confederate cavalry attack from the Union rear, Pickett's charge might well have succeeded. The author states that the reason for the first day of carnage at Shiloh is due to Grant being drunk. Both Shelby Foote and Bruce Catton state that Grant's drinking was greatly exaggerated by both his enemies, his rivals and the Union officer whose job it was to look after Grant. These authors suggest that this Union officer would grossly exaggerate Grant's consumption to enhance his apparently being essential to the Union cause. i.e. A huge ego trip.Frankly, just what I would expect from Fox and Mr. O'reilly. Caveat Emptor and bring your skepticism.Good luck.
