Excellent product - well designed
Good points:It has removable batteries. I like this because I can remove them if it starts to go wrong, or if I'm going away for a while.It is easy to fit - you just put 2 screws through the backing plate and fix this to the wall. Then simply twist the detector on to the plate. Very easy.The test button produces a tone that is at a lot lower volume than the proper alarm. So testing doesn't make you jump out of your skin.A very well though out product 10/10

Constant False Alarms
Bought 2 of these for separate areas in the house. First one started going off randomly after about 12 months. Eventually got a replacement having enjoyed being woken up at random times of the night several times.Now the second one is doing the same. Just randomly goes off at all times of the day (Both units had new batteries after the first false alarm just in case).So either these are useless junk that are not fit for purpose, or my house has burnt down about 15 times in the last 6 months.You'd expect better from a so called "decent" brand (which is why we bought them), but sadly not.
