I think you're going to be a little disappointed. I had the LP for my S7
Not sure how I feel about this just yet. If you are getting this over a Life Proof (LP), I think you're going to be a little disappointed. I had the LP for my S7, it worked well but I figured I would save a few dollars with this one. I've had this for a day so far and here are my issues. #1 the buttons, the unlock button is so stiff you really have to put some A** behind it. If you use it to unlock the phone or screenshot instead of "swipe" you're not going to be happy. As far as the volume rocker and Bixby, they too are difficult to manipulate, but not near as bad as the unlock, maybe it will get better. #2 Fit and finish, overall not bad. my biggest gripe is the gap between the screen and the clear cover. This is the biggest difference between this one and the LP, the LP seemed to have a thicker plastic as this one is way thinner. The LP did not have the gap and fit tight against the screen on my S7. I know the S8 has the infinity screen and the S7 does not, and I'm not sure if the LP for the S8 is any better. On the plus side, music sounds pretty good, seems like the case acts as a speaker box. Its a little louder and deeper. The fingerprint scanner works fine, no issues with the camera, touch controls are good too. No complaints talking on the phone, people hear me just fine.I'm comfortable with this case getting wet in rain and snow, but I do not have the confidence to take it underwater. Just my $.02

Perfect for everyday use.
I love this case. I bought this because I have a toddler at home and tend to drop my phone as well as enjoy listening to music in the shower. This case was wonderful. I had already cracked the back of my phone before I put this on, and after several drops and a lot of time, the cracks haven't worsened. The screen protector has very minor scratches and I've noticed it isn't any harder to tap than without the case, unless I'm trying to type while in the shower or the rain, because of the water droplets interfering, but I don't think that's the case's fault. I haven't submerged the phone in water completely, but trust that it'll stay dry. Taking the case off can be a little bit of a hassle for someone as weak as I am, and pulling out the tabs so I can charge my phone or put in headphones is a little difficult without nails, but understandable for the waterproof feature. The iris and fingerprint scanners work with it, but not as easily UNLESS they're rescanned with the case on, so the phone recognized what they look like with the film and screen protector over them. The quality of photos is affected slightly, but not as much as I expected. My s8 with this case on is almost the size of the s8+, which makes me happy. The case is even fit for the edge screen! What more can you ask for with a case like this, especially at the low price? I love it. Would definitely recommend!

Worth it.
I've had my case since Dec 2017.It's gone above and beyond to protect my phone. Several drops and a water hazard or two.My phone still looks brand new.Drawbacks:Screen scratches pretty easily. I wouldn't call it scratch resistant. However, for me it's not that big of a deal. It doesn't effect me watching any video's or looking at my pictures.Next, the power button is shot. I was going to try and hold out until I upgrade my phone but I think that may not be possible at this point. I'm likely going to have to buy another case.I've also seen others have had a similar issue. Which prompted me to make my review. In my opinion, this case is worth $25 to protect a $500+ phone.Like I said, my phone still looks brand new.So I'll likely buy another Jaity case.

Not for everyday use.
Let me start by saying I received a refurbished phone through insurance and that's the only reason I considered this case. Once repairs are made phones are rarely waterproof/resistant anymore. If your in the same position as me, look up an app named side squeeze. Lack of building pressure observed via the barometric sensor will confirm this. Ok, now for the review. What works:Following the instructions, case IS water tight. There is no noticable echo on either end.Touch sensitivity is not affected.Camera clarity is not affected under most conditions.Iris scan works as normalButtons all work good. What doesn't work:Heart rate sensor completely useless.Fingerprint scanner technically works but requires way too much added force. I've been trying to get used to it for a week now but is the main reason I will be dumping this case for another daily driver. I even set a second fingerprint with the case on but did not help.Use of the edge handle is also severely hindered.Case does not have enough soft material to absorb rather than transfer impact forces. There is a raised lip around the front and rear faces but the front isn't as protected as the rear. Also on the front, at each corner where protection is required the most, that lip nearly disappears.I'll keep this case for days I go kayaking, but safely inside another waterproof bag, inside a hatch. I try to be careful with my phone but I'm not exactly graceful and use my phone alot at work as a heavy hauler. I'm more likely to drop my phone getting in and out of trucks and to sit on it while working under one. I guess I'll just need to be more careful around toilets and puddles. My search continues. Hope this helps you decide.

Ok looks, good protection
The screen with screen protector is very responsive, despite Samsung's best effort to keep a good case from being made for its curved screen. The fingerprint scanner and camera are covered by a thick clear plastic baggy type of material, but the picture is still ok for someone who just takes one once in a while. The back is black and shiny that for people that stress out over fingerprints its not good for, but I covered it with e-grips to keep me sane.Once the case is together, I had to use a screw driver to get it apart, plus I cut my finger, locked really tight. It sounds good, but its so tight that its annoyingly so and God help you if you get lint or hair on the inside of the screen protector during installation.Like I said, ok looks, good protection...
