Benchmade 940 Osborne is a Great knife. Carried every day since bought in 2010.
Rugged knife. I have attempted to carry in a pocket without keys to keep the great appearance it started with. Not sure what happened, but is showing signs of use after only 13 years of every day carry and is used most days. I was complimented only last week on its appearance. It still looks good, the latch is very safe and it holds an edge. I do sharpen it every 3 or 4 months even though I could send it to Benchmade for sharpening. A friend was surpised I had a knife in my pocket and asked why I need to carry a knife. I responded because I can, and its not a knife. It is my most useful tool.

Great knife
Ok so here’s the pros, this knife is tough, really tough. I’ve owned mine for 5 years now. It’s been through hell and back and I love the one hand open/close. There’s two downsides I’d like to mention. I have a lot of pocket knives and use diamond sharpeners. Most of my quality knives (case) for example I can get razor sharp very effortlessly and they seem to hold that for about a month before a touch up is needed. With this knife it seems to only hold an edge for about a week until it needs a decent amount of sharpening. I can never seem to get the blade on this razor sharp. Now I’ve never really had a problem with this unless I’m doing intricate tasks such as whittling. I’ve carried this knife exclusively for a few years but still find myself going back to my case stockman. The other downside is the blade is extremely hard to clean, everything sticks to it pretty bad. Overall it’s a great work knife that I’m not afraid to be rough on. Definitely one of my favorites from bench made

5-STAR Knife!!!
I love my Benchmade knife...from the awesome slide-lock button mechanism to the matte green finish on the handle to the metal of the blade, the craftmanship is top quality! I rate this 5 out of 5 stars even with the $300+ price tag! 🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️
