Because the arms swivel, it will be very easy to accommodate the shoe holder. And because this tree is so heavily weighted, the shoes won't tip it.Assembly:I put the smaller upright pole on the top. Also, I found that it was easier to assemble the 3 top arms to the tube holding them and to screw on the top cap and THEN screw that whole assembly into the to upright pole. It's a little tall for me to assemble the top part straight otherwise. This system worked great.Another suggestion. There's a large bolt that comes up through the base into the lower pole. I assembled the tree by myself. To keep the bolt from turning as I screwed on the bottom upright, I put a couple pieces of neoprene potholders underneath the base. Once the bottom pole was almost all in, I turned it sideways and tightened the bolt with the allen wrench while holding the pole straight. Worked fine. Easy job.

As so many others have said, this an incredibly well-made, sturdy, polished, heavy-weight item. Arrived without the necessary allen wrench to assemble -- a hefty 5/16" -- once a set of wrenches arrived two days later and I assembled, was truly impressed with the quality of this item.

This is a very high quality item. The pieces are thick stainless steel, and it is quite heavy with the together. The finish is terrific. It's exactly as pictured and I really like the item. Also, it was easy to put together.(The instructions are not very good, but it's fairly self-explanatory.)

Super sturdy, the base is very heavy considering the function. I love this thing.

Very functional for hanging towels and robes for our hot tub. Looks great and seems sturdy.

This rack is OK except that it came with 1 part missing and one part being defective (one of 2 tubes is not straight and has some curves on it). Be aware before buying. Since it's very heavy, I won't be returning it, however I won't buy from Cortesi Home again.
