Not very pleased about that, but it was fun and easy to use even though we had to use BBQ bamboo skewers instead >:-| Review: chocolate and more - This is my first fondue pot so I really didn't know what I was doing. I looked up a chocolate recipe that called for 12oz of choch chips and 1cup of heavy cream. On almost medium heat, it took about 6 minutes to melt while stirring. We had some trouble with the fruit sliding off the sticks, but I think maybe it just means we need to practice some more (yum!). I want to try cheese next. The cord is short but worked well plugged into an extension cord so we could gather in the living room. The base got pretty hot and I had to keep the kids from touching it, so just be aware.
