Healthy sprinkle of black cumin for weight loss
Sprinkling some Huggiberries Organic Black Cumin Seed on top of savory dishes (pan-seared tofu, cauliflower, salmon, curries, etc) is a great way to get this superfood spice into your diet. Black cumin has been shown to regulate blood sugar levels and accelerate body fat loss. The bag was fresh but tastes even better if you toast the seed in a dry pan to release the aromatics and make it crunchy and nutty.

Larger bags are more cost effective
My mom swears by black cumin seed for it’s anti-inflammatory properties. She has been taking the oil for as long as I can remember. She bakes bread a few times a week and adds black cumin seeds to it every time so she goes through these bags pretty quickly. This particular brand has good quality black cumin seeds that taste good in bread too.

Fresh and tasted good in my recipes. A little pricy but the quality is good.

Has good health benefits!
Black cumin seeds have great medicinal properties as they have good for the digestive health and also help with inflammation issues. They also add good flavor to food when lightly toasted. Once lightly toasted, you can add to several dishes or I also like to sprinkle on top for rice dishes or stir fry dishes as garnish. Previously, I have made black cumin seeds hair oil by infusing these in a good grade hair oil. Helps with hair loss!

Mild flavor, but nice
At first I wasn't getting much from these, I tried toasting them till they popped but it just didn't seem to add much. Then I tried grinding them in a mortar & pestle, that's when you could really smell the aroma. However a teaspoon of ground seed in a 3 egg scramble still added a fairly mild flavor, maybe I need to use more?In any case, the aroma and flavor are nice, mild and not overpowering. It doesn't have as strong a flavor as some spices. It might be better in dishes that get baked for awhile, like bread. Haven't been able to try that yet.

I like to sprinkle this on recipes that need a crunchy black pepper look. Its not spicy but pops.
These seeds aren't spicy. They aren't even all that flavorful honestly. They do look great on certain recipes. Like sprinkled on some cooked cabbage or sautéed onions they add a nice look. The flavor is very limited but the crunch adds a tiny pop to the texture. Again not much. I use them because I have them. Not sure Id buy them again. I need to research them more to figure out better uses for them. Ill still give them 5 stars because Ive had these by other brands (They are popular on the AmazonVine program) and of the ones Ive had, these are the best quality so far. They're larger and crunchier than most, with lesser quality versions more resembling poppyseed. Hope that helps.
