The Fabric Exchange Faux Fur Luxury Shag Dark Brown 60 Inch Wide By Yard (F.E.

I purchased this fur for a fursuit I am currently working on. When purchasing this fur I was worried due to its a company that I have never used, I could not get a swatch and last no reviews and a cheap price. I was surprised on the quality it arrived nicely folded not crammed in a bag in a box. They removed the excess shed after cutting so when I opened my package I did not get fur all over my workroom. The fur is a nice 2” pile and it is soft (not super soft) the backing is fairly thick and has a little stretch. The color is as depicted in its image. Also as a plus low on the shed and shaves down easily.

It’s definitely not the highest quality fur, but it’s leagues better than anything from Joanne’s. The fur comes out fairly easy with a light pinch, so it’s a little on the cheaper end, but visually it would be ok for costume/Fursuit making, especially if you don’t want to pay $30/yard for Shannon fur or pay the same amount for poor quality fur from Joannes.It’s not as soft as Shannon furs either, feeling kind of like a hybrid of the wirey and crunchy Joanne’s fur and the soft and silky Shannon fur.Consensus: It’s fine for budget Fursuit making but if you can afford better, get Shannon fur.If you’re making a stuffed animal or something that won’t be worn, then it’s perfectly fine. Or a carpet I guess since I see a lot of people buying these for that. Just need a firm backing

Color is great. The fur itself is a bit stiffer/starchier than I'm used to. Also, if you shave too far and you can see white threads from the backing coming through. It's no Shannon luxury faux fur, but it comes close.
