Exploding kittens have become a board game staple in my household, though I must admit that this new addition is more one for those adult parties with friends you're comfortable with. I personally played this with some university friends with some drinks and lets just say things got interesting. The concept of this card game is pretty easy to get the hang of, but it is a lot harder than it seems to follow. If you don't follow the rules, you'll have to face the consequences. In this case, it involves stripping 'naked' and getting spanked with an inflatable bat. The concept of the game is a little like charades, except you have to describe the word you are given using just 1 syllables words. Your team has to guess it but if you trip up and use words that aren't 1 syllable of length, you'll have to face the consequences. A very unique, wacky and interesting concept but if you're playing it in a safe environment with friends you're comfortable with, I am sure it can be a lot of fun. 4 stars. We discovered this simple and fun game while playing games with family over Christmas, and liked it so much we decided to order a set for ourselves. Going to do so on Amazon, we discovered they made a NSFW (Not Suitable For Work, i.e. rude!) edition for adults. As we and family members really enjoy the raucous adult humour in Cards Against Humanity, we decided this edition was a must-have! However, having received and now played the game, we are very disappointed. There is almost no 'rudeness' in it at all, just a small number of words that we have no idea what they mean - we presume they're 'rude' young people's terms, we are older but very worldly-wise and broad-minded but have not heard of them - and the rest is very lame, you could easily be playing the ordinary version. So none of the hilarious, at times embarrassed, cringing or shocked laughs that Cards Against Humanity gives. The card example on the back of the box for this version is the word Nudist and phrase Nudist colony - wow, we're shocked, not! What a shame, we were really hopeful for another fun, easy to pick up, adult humour game...

Although the box says that this is suitable for 2 players and over, and there is a specific set of instructions for 2-3 players, when we played it as a three, we could see the limitations to what would have been so much more fun with four or more, so I really only recommend buying this if you’re going to have at least four players to game with. The premise is basically like Taboo and a lot of related games where you have to get the other team member to guess a word or phrase but avoiding saying a certain word/words in the process. Harder than it sounds, and in this particular version of the game the restriction is on using ANY word with more than one syllable !! And that really is harder than you’d think, especially with a timer going in front of you, the tension and excitement kicks in and …. The wrong word slips out !! As an added extra you have an inflatable ‘caveman club ‘ to whack the person with if they say a wrong word, and this really does add another level of hilarity and fun to the game. But as I said, would be so much better with a bigger group of people than with 2 or 3 One last thing, in the instruction booklet it suggests you watch the instructional video which is available which we initially couldn’t find. There is one, but its not the NSFW version, that’s the only difference. Oh yes, one other thing regarding the NSFW version, I played this with my partner and my daughter who’s in her 20s, and oh dear did it make my partner and I feel old !!! So many phrases we’d never heard of that my daughter took great delight in patronisingly explaining to us as if we were so out of touch, and until now, I’d had no idea that we were !!!!!!! Looks great and I like the concept. Yet to play it, but did open the packaging and check it our. I think it will be fun.
