almost no complaints. BEAUTIFUL pigments.
I'm not reviewing this with a background in color pencils. this is my first set.I had an art class for college, and that's my primary reason for owning this product. I actually love these pencils and after two days of use I am now looking into purchasing a set of colors from a quality brand. these, however, do their job excellently. I wasn't expecting them to be so vibrant. the range of colors is wide and it doesn't hurt to use them for so long. I will concede that they sometimes break after sharpening and some of the pencils have rough 'burs' buried in the leads, but if you go light you won't really need to worry about either of these issues. the colorless blenders are also kind of useless to me. I've tried to blend colors by laying one on top of the other and then using the blender to 'mix' the pigments together, but they more or less look the same and only gain a thin transparent film from the blender lead. I probably won't be using all six of them, but i probably also won't be the only person using these colored pencils, so they may prove useful to my family members. overall, I recommend these!

I enjoy these pencils. Not only are they pretty to look at but coloring with them is also pleasant. I will continue to buy them.

Great Good Quality Colored Pencil Set For Casual Artwork- Advice On Paper Included
I have a lot of colored pencils. You might think that is odd, but pencils wear down fast when you are doing big time art drawings, sometimes you need something to layer with that is not overly expensive, saving the expensive pencils for top layers.HOW THESE COMEThese come in a metal hinged tin. There is a cardboard sleeve slipped over it which I suggest you keep. that helps the container not to accidentally open up if you plan to travel with it.PENCIL MARKINGSThese are not marked with colors only numbers. The painted end is sometimes accurate sometimes not.QUALITYThese are what I would say is artist quality but more on the beginning side to the type of artwork that you do when you are working out a concept or trying to experiment.PAPERThese work differently on different paper. Interestingly, these pencils work pretty well on colored pencil paper, Stonehenge paper (the strawberry I posted was done on that), and some bristol paper. The very interesting way that these perform well is luxe archival paper which is VERY expensive, but these will hold their tip longer and are stiff enough to hold their own while using on the sanded surface. These perform quite well on the Luxe archival because of their being a bit harder than the really soft pencils.COLORSThis has a great color selection. The swatch card included is fun to color on, but the paper quality is not the best.BLENDERI have a picture of the blender used on the top of some green swatched pencils. It does a decent job.THE BOTTOM LINEThis is a great set of pencils for coloring books, basic artwork and works well on luxe archival paper as a good lower layer to build upon.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. For what it is, this is a great set. The price is good and you can get some decent performance if you use the right paper with it to bring out its best quality. Don't hesitate to experiment to find what works best for you.

Very nice colored pencil set
I’m not an artist in any way, shape or form. I’m an amateur who got these colored pencils to do some stenciling and coloring of images for card making. This evaluation is based on my limited knowledge of art supplies and coloring with pencils. There’s an array of colors in this kit and a few blending pencils. The presentation is very nice and the tin makes it easy to transport these pencils from place to place. When you want to use them you simply remove the three trays from the tin so you can see all the colors before you. I haven’t done any extensive coloring projects with them yet but they seem to color just fine. I wish the set came with a pencil sharpener, and a place for the blending pencils would have been nice. They’re in a separate little box and it would have been nice to be able to transport everything in the one tin. I’m not sure if they color much better than my crayola pencils, but after I’ve used them for a while I’ll update this review. Overall, they seem like very nice pencils to use for your art projects.

Good pencils
I think these are a good sturdy option for a large set of colored pencils. There are obviously higher quality professional sets out there, but these work really well and are a great price. I tend to use these in my adult coloring books and for mark marking on my mixed media pieces.I think the set itself it well made, the tin is organized well and sturdy. It includes a swatch card for your own swatches of the colors which is really nice. I really don't have anything to complain about with them. I would absolutely purchase them again.

Don’t lay down color well, IMHO

Lots of colors
My son got these colored pencils for use in his high school art class. He was really excited at so many color choices and the blending pencils. However, the tin it came in allows for the colored pencils to fall out of their spots. He didn't feel the container was very portable which is why I took a star off.
