A very fiddly job but the part fitted well

Fitting to Dyson DC50 was a little fiddly with the spring, however took only 30 minutes all in. Suction power of the brush head is transformed and like new I would say. A very worthwhile fix. The part itself is OK, not as good as an original but way cheaper etc. Operation is fine and so far no complaints only relief I don't need to buy a new Dyson. Will need T15 and T8 Torque bits to remove the relevant screws. There are plenty of YouTube videos on how to fit.

Good quality and saving a couple of quid. Difficult to fit, but found video on YouTube. Excellent option for a genuine Dyson part.

I ordered this item as the changeover valve had split from hoovering up to many small pencils which ended up piecing the hose. I found this product which arrived the next day. Thankfully there is a Youtube video with a tutorial on changing it. It doesn't take too long but it's worth taking your time as there are a few screws to take out which do have different sizes and it's relatively strightforward I am pleased to say the suction is back and it's working well so far(it's been about 4 weeks since buying this)

Terrible quality, rubber is not attached like the genuine article, meaning that whe you transition the rubber gets unseated and half sucked into the machine.

Great irwm easy to install if you can use screwdriver about 9 screws to take it out

Good but had to use the original rubber end piece to get the part to make a good vacuum seal - as the paxanpax seal was very poor quality.

Notvthe easiest bit to fit, but well worth doing as its like a new hoover

Il ricambio è perfettamente uguale all'originale, l'unica differenza è che con questa versione non è inserito il classico foglio, che Dyson fornisce con le istruzioni per la sostituzione del pezzo, e quindi occorre più tempo per capire i giusti passaggi per fare il lavoro.

For my DC40, this replacement worked well and fit perfectly ONCE you could get to it. It was not really easy to install but youtube videos helped a lot. Out of all the parts in a DC40, this is the ONLY part that requires all the effort to replace since you need torx bits, videos for guidance and patience. If you are handy, then you can do this - just keep track of your screws and where you got them from. I am rather surprised that that this was the only part that was not user serviceable without tools. All the rest of the DC40 is and also my DC14 (really old one) is all user serviceable. This was good price and prevented me from throwing an otherwise good vacuum away. Quality seemed fine but only time will tell. This is a high flex part, so I don't know yet. I'll post an update is it rips or fails within a year. Annnd no, I was not compensated in any way for this.
